Official leaks possible plans for 2000

A "high-ranking" official at Cedar Point says that all of the plans that have been leaked by other sources are "totally wrong." The official says that the park is very committed to developing a Coney-esque waterfront area from Disaster Transport to the current Oceana site. The area will have a New Jersey boardwalk feel with retail, food and other attractions appropriate to the theme. A "signature cutting-edge dark ride" might be the center piece for the area. The official made no mention of the rumored Cyclone restoration.

The same official pointed out that the old bath house was razed last year and no one noticed. Oceana also went dark. That area of the park has gone undeveloped for more than a decade if you don't count Disaster Transport.

This plan surfaces in the midst of other plans revealed as the honest truth by other Cedar Point officials. We believe that one of two scenarios exists: Either management doesn't talk to each other or false "bones" are thrown to distract the fans from the truth. Since clearly fans don't understand the importance of secrecy in the ever-competitive amusement industry, we'll take the latter theory.
