Cedar Point lights up the sky for the Fourth of July

Fireworks, free admission for military highlight weekend activities.

SANDUSKY, Ohio (June 29, 2015) – Cedar Point invites you to celebrate America at this year’s Light Up The Point the park’s Fourth of July event. Get out your red, white and blue for special ticket offers, patriotic activities right on the shore of Lake Erie, and of course, Cedar Point’s legendary grand fireworks display.

Free Admission for Military

Cedar Point honors the brave men and women who have served, and who continue to protect our country with free admission into Cedar Point and Soak City all weekend long! All active, retired and honorably-discharged members of the United States Armed Forces will receive complimentary admission at both parks, Friday through Sunday, July 3-5, with a valid ID. (Valid forms of ID include: active duty ID, retired personnel ID, VA ID or a copy of DD-214 discharge papers and photo ID.) Immediate family members can also receive a special discount on Cedar Point admission by purchasing a regular ticket priced at $39.99. That’s a savings of $22 off the regular admission price! These tickets are available at park admission windows only.

Beach Blast

The Cedar Point Beach is the place to party every Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. to midnight with Beach Blast! Running July 3 through August 15, guests can enjoy live music from the Toes in the Sand Band, roast s’mores, sit by the fire pits, toast to summer with a drink from the Surf Lounge or put their feet in the sand with family-friendly beach games.

Light Up The Point Fireworks

At 10:30 p.m. on the Fourth of July, the Cedar Point skyline will explode with color and light as the Light Up The Point spectacle of fireworks wows viewers right over Lake Erie. Guests inside the park can enjoy various patriotic melodies as shells of all shapes and sizes ignite the night. Guests who want the ultimate experience can purchase a special VIP Viewing Party ticket. For just $15 plus tax, this special ticket includes all-you-can-eat hot dogs, chips, soda and water as well as the best view with a seat right on the beach. Seating is limited and tickets are available in advance online at cedarpoint.com.

Skydiving Team

Fireworks won’t be the only spectacle in the sky on the Fourth of July. A four-person skydiving team from Fastrax Professional Skydiving will salute America in daytime and nighttime jumps that pay tribute to the land of the free and home of the brave.

Money-Saving Offers

All guests looking to save money can celebrate Cedar Point’s Light Up The Point admission offers. Guests can purchase a special, limited-time four pack of tickets good for one-day admission into Cedar Point for just $44 each, plus applicable taxes and fees. That’s a savings of more than $70 off the gate price when you purchase four! Also available, the Light Up The Point Combo includes a one-day admission ticket and a single meal deal voucher for only $53.99, a savings of $22! A single meal deal includes an entree, side and regular-sized fountain drink at one participating location. These two ticket offers are valid for use any one day through Sunday, July 5.
