Sandusky spends $315K to strengthen Cedar Point water system

Updates come after line broke three times within a 19-month period

The final bill for improving a water main primarily servicing Cedar Point totaled $315,000 in local water funds. Sandusky city commissioners approved the amount during Monday’s public meeting.

Engineers estimated the improvements would only cost $250,000, though officials justified the extra expense as it adds redundancy not previously available.
