Sandusky official promises city will fix infrastructure problems that forced closure of Cedar Point

Cedar Point has had to close twice in the past three years because of water-main problems.

A member of Sandusky's City Commission is promising that the city will fix the infrastructure problems that forced Cedar Point, one of the state's top tourist destinations, to close for a second time in just over two years.

City Commissioner Dick Brady said the water-main break that occurred this past weekend – which closed early on Saturday and shuttered two resort hotels and Soak City waterpark on Sunday – was on the causeway, which connects the amusement park to mainland Sandusky.
