Cedar Point safety checks under way

Ensuring the safety of rides at amusement parks falls on the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

Long before Cedar Point welcomes its first guests of the year, state inspectors carefully check every nut, bolt, and computer program to make sure the park’s 70-plus rides are safe and ready to roll.

Ensuring the safety of rides at Ohio’s permanent parks such as Cedar Point and Kings Island, as well as the dozens of festivals and county fairs, falls on the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
