Woman sues over fall in hotel tub

A woman who broke her nose and some teeth in a bathtub fall at Breakers Express has filed a lawsuit against Cedar Point, according to Erie County Common Pleas Court records, the Sandusky Register reported.

The suit claims while staying at the hotel on July 3, 2001, she was climbing into the bathtub and slipped because the adhesive strips designed to prevent such an accident had been "noticeably removed." The woman "catapulted" to the front of the bath and was injured, the suit states.

The woman is seeking more than $25,000 in damages. The suit claims Cedar Point is guilty of negligence because the bath area was designed without regard for guest safety.
