SANDUSKY, Ohio, Sept. 8, 2004 – To commemorate its eighth ghoulish year, Cedar Point amusement park/resort’s HalloWeekends has added more scares and haunts than ever before.  This year’s event features a brand new fright zone: CarnEvil; magician: Tim Hill; haunted house: Lair of the Vampire; as well as an expanded Werewolf Canyon, spooky live entertainment and some of the tallest, fastest and scariest rides and roller coasters this side of Transylvania.

For those who like to be the “know-it-all” in their group, here is all the information you need to bone up on to impress your friends.

Dates
HalloWeekends will be held the final operating days of Cedar Point’s 2004 season: Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 24, 25, 26 and Oct. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31. 
 
Prices
Friday nights - $25.95 (ages 3-59, 48 inches or taller)
Saturdays and Sundays - $43.95 (two day - $66.95) (ages 3-59, 48 inches or taller)
Junior  - $24.95 (two day - $44.95)  (ages 3-59, under 48 inches tall)
Starlight -  $25.95 (after 5 p.m. on Saturdays and after 4 p.m. on Sundays)
Children ages 2 and younger are admitted FREE! 

Hours
During HalloWeekends, Cedar Point will be open Friday nights from 6 to 11 p.m.; Saturdays from noon to midnight; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  (Note: On Sunday, Oct. 10, Cedar Point will remain open until 10 p.m.)

On Friday nights, certain rides and attractions will not be open.  Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Magnum, Raptor, WildCat, Iron Dragon, Blue Streak and Wicked Twister roller coasters will all be in operation on Friday nights (weather permitting).  The entire park will be open on Saturdays and Sundays.
