Cedar Point wins "BIG-E" award

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) presented its sixth annual "BIG-E" Entertainment Awards today during IAAPA Orlando 2004, the association’s 86th annual convention and trade show at the Orange County Convention Center.

Cedar Point's Twistin’ to the 60s was awarded first place for "Best Overall Production: $50,001 to $100,000 USD."  The show ran from May 29 to August 22 at the Palace Theatre.

The "BIG-E" awards honor amusement facility entertainment, performers, and the behind-the-scenes personnel who "make it happen" at attractions. Awards categories include Best Costumed Character, Best Show Performers, Best Atmosphere or Street Show Performer/Act, Best Behind-the-Scenes Technician, and Best Overall Production.
