Cedar Point Press Release

SANDUSKY, Ohio, March 11, 2005 - With its wide assortment of body slides, water gadgets and a water coaster, Cedar Point's new Castaway Bay indoor waterpark resort is the perfect solution for cabin fever caused by this long and difficult winter. However, this enclosed tropical paradise, located in Sandusky, Ohio, on Lake Erie, will soon be offering more to guests who just want to "relax."

Expected to open on Friday, March 25, a new day spa will be Castaway Bay's newest amenity. The Spa at Castaway Bay will provide guests the opportunity to swim in a private pool, soak in a private hot tub or unwind in a peaceful relaxation room. All this will be followed by first-class service from highly trained professionals. The Spa will feature a variety of different massages, facials, waxings and body care treatments, including manicures and pedicures. Special packages will also be available. The Castaway Bay indoor waterpark also features two 50-person whirlpool spas - one indoor and one outdoor.

While the Spa at Castaway Bay will specialize in relaxation, just down the hallway, the Castaway Bay waterpark has wet and wild fun for the entire family. This enormous 38,000-square-foot indoor waterpark is loaded with water activities for all ages.

If water is what you want, water is what you will find everywhere at the Lookout Lagoon Family Funhouse. Guests are sure to get wet in this action-packed section of the waterpark that is highlighted by a huge water-filled bucket that dumps more than 1,000 gallons of water every two minutes! Guests can also challenge four water slides and more watery gadgets than you have ever seen in one place before.

Castaway Bay also features three completely enclosed 35-foot-tall body slides. The most popular feature at Castaway Bay is Rendezvous Run, a 520-foot-long indoor water roller coaster that uses water jets to launch riders up and over hills and through banked curves. Castaway Bay also includes a gigantic 100,000-gallon wave pool.

Kids are delighted that Castaway Bay features fun-filled play areas built just for them. Toddler's Tide Pool includes three water slides, water pipes and not-so-scary sea creatures that kids can play on and around. More than 80,000 gallons of watery fun await kids of all ages in the activity pool. Attractions include floating sea creatures, basketball hoops and an adventurous pool crossing with hanging nets and floating treasure chests that test skill and agility. The resort also offers a craft room and other fun activities for young children.

When sliders work up an appetite, Castaway Bay can offer guests four different restaurants. Big Daddy's Snack Shack, located inside the waterpark, offers hot sandwiches and fresh-baked pizza. Mango Mike's family restaurant features a wide variety of food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner that includes an all-you-care-to-eat buffet. Ebb & Eddy's Island Sweets & Eats deli is perfect for families who want to grab a quick bite to eat in the morning, such as fresh-baked goods, fruits and cereal or who want light meal and dinner options such as fresh-made deli sandwiches, fruit and salad platters and hand-dipped ice cream. Adjacent to Castaway Bay is TGI Friday's which offers mouth-watering lunch and dinner specials featuring Jack Daniels' grill entrees.

All of this and more make Castaway Bay the perfect vacation destination for the entire family. For additional information about Castaway Bay, or to place a reservation, guests can call 419.627.2106 or log on to CastawayBay.com.
