SANDUSKY, Ohio, April 11, 2005 – Cedar Point amusement park/resort, home of the largest and most exciting collection of roller coasters on Earth, is making things easy for Season Passholders.  They can redeem their Season Pass certificates or purchase a Season Pass before the park opens for the 2005 season on Saturday, May 7. 

The Season Pass Center at Cedar Point will open on Wednesday, April 20 and will operate Wednesdays through Sundays until Friday, May 6.  Hours for the center will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.  The center is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Beginning Saturday, May 7, the Season Pass Center will be open during regular park operating hours.

Season Pass and Combo Pass certificates must be redeemed for a non-transferable photo ID card before being used for admission to Cedar Point, Soak City waterpark, or any other Cedar Fair park.

Season Parking Pass certificates can be redeemed at the main tollbooth for a non-transferable parking sticker that is attached directly to the vehicle.  (Stickers will not be available in inclement weather.)

2004 Season and Combo Passholders can still mail their renewal form and 2005 certificates to the park to receive their pass in the mail.  Renewal forms can be mailed to:  Cedar Point Park Admissions, One Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870-5259.  Junior Season Passes and Junior Combo Passes cannot be renewed through the mail.

New for 2005, guests will have the opportunity to add even more excitement to their summer fun by purchasing a Geauga Lake Add-On Pass.  This pass provides unlimited visits to both Cedar Point and Geauga Lake amusement park in Aurora, Ohio.  The Geauga Lake add-on is automatically included with the purchase of a Cedar Point Combo Pass or Junior Combo Pass.  (Combo Passes combine the fun of both Cedar Point and Soak City waterpark.)

Season Passes are $99.95; the Geauga Lake Add-On Pass is $26; Combo Passes are $154.95; Junior Season Passes (for guests age 3 and older, under 48 inches tall in shoes at the time of redemption) are $65; Junior Combo Passes are $95 and Season Parking Passes are $65.  Children age 2 and younger are free.

For an additional $15, Season Passholders can join the Joe Cool Club.  Joe Cool Club members enjoy special perks like special ride times, early entrance for a great live show, and discounts on food and merchandise.  Club members also have the option to have their Parking Pass put on their Season Pass or Combo Pass photo ID and carry it with them in any non-commercial vehicle.  The Season Passholder must be in the vehicle to use the Parking Pass.

A Season Pass to Cedar Point is also good for admission to five of its sister parks:  Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minn.; Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pa.; Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Mo.; Michigan’s Adventure near Muskegon, Mich.; and Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif. (Halloween Haunt at Knott’s Berry Farm is a separate admission event and Cedar Point Season Passes are not valid for admission.)  Cedar Point Combo Passes are also valid at Oceans of Fun waterpark in Kansas City; Knott’s Soak City USA in Buena Park, Calif.; Knott’s Soak City USA in Chula Vista, Calif.; and Knott’s Soak City USA in Palm Springs, Calif.

Cedar Point will be open daily for the 2005 season from Saturday, May 7 through Labor Day, Sept. 5.  The park will reopen for Bonus Weekends on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 9-11, 16-18, and for HalloWeekends on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 23-25, 30, Oct. 1-2, 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, and 28-30.
