SANDUSKY, Ohio, Sept. 2 – Cedar Point amusement park/resort is looking for talented individuals who would like to perform as “Screamsters” during Cedar Point’s ninth annual HalloWeekends event. The “Screamsters” are the unique, frightening and ghoulish characters that roam the midways and scare unsuspecting guests as they walk through the fright zones. “Screamsters” must be available for a majority of the following dates: Friday & Saturday nights, Sept. 23, 24, 30, Oct. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29 and one Sunday night, Oct. 9, 2005.
“Screamsters” must be very energetic and able to work in all weather conditions, in special effects lighting, in the dark and in heavily fogged and crowded areas. The 70 available “Screamsters” positions require at least four hours of very intense activity including crouching, jumping, running, moving and darting toward and away from guests. “Screamsters” must be at least 18 years old and must provide their own black athletic shoes. “Screamsters” will be on stage from 8 p.m. to midnight. Mask/makeup preparation may begin as early as 4 p.m. Dress rehearsal is tentatively scheduled for Thursday evening, Sept. 22.
