CP magician to try to break world record

Friday, 21 October 2005

Cedar Point magician Chris Linn of Sterling Heights, Mich., will attempt to break a world record at Cedar Point at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Linn will try to break the current Guinness World Record for one-handed "scaling" of playing cards from a deck of cards.

Card scaling is a form of sleight of hand/card manipulation.

Linn will shoot the cards individually from the deck at a high speed and they spin through the air.

The current record is 106 playing cards traveling a distance of at least 12 feet in one minute.
