John Goodman, 75, completed his 75th ride on Top Thrill Dragster yesterday, the Sandusky Register reported.
The Florida retiree, who, along with his wife, is a former member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts, began his quest on August 2. Since then, he has spent at least 200 hours in line.
"I've waited in line for as long as five hours and never got on the ride," said Goodman told the Register. "Then, just when I leave the line and put my key in the car ignition, I see it's running again."
Top Thrill Dragster isn't recommended for guests with heart problems. Goodman, who has a pacemaker, received permission from his doctor before riding.
"I feel like he is here as long as we are every day," ride operator Jessica Ruiz told the Register. Ruiz rode in the front seat with Goodman when he took his 75th ride.
