State of Ohio gives OK to Cedar Fair tax abatement

The state of Ohio has approved Cedar Fair L.P.'s 100 percent, 10-year tax abatement, the Sandusky Register reported.

Ohio Department of Development representative Chad Munitz told the Register that decisions on abatements are usually left to local authorities. The state verifies the information submitted for accuracy and legality.

Cedar Fair must now submit a tax exemption application to the Ohio Department of Taxation.
