Sandusky scratches an itch to be in the movies

The city of Sandusky itched to be ground zero for the Martian- human monster attack.
City leaders were so eager, they let Hollywood producer Elliott Haimoff blow up a house and stage a stampede at Cedar Point Amusement Park while making his science-fiction spoof.
The result, "Close Encounters of the 4th Kind: Infestation From Mars," is one of the highlights of the 2005 Ohio Independent Film Festival.
