On Wednesday, the Sandusky Planning Commission approved Cedar Point's site plans for the company's Lighthouse Point expansion, the Sandusky Register reported.

Cedar Point will add 30 cabins, 14 cottages and 38 recreational vehicle sites to it's existing 50 cottages, 10 cabins, and 59 recreational vehicle sites.

Last week, the city approved the construction of a 425-foot breakwall to provide erosion protection.

Terry Ross, Cedar Point architect, told the commission that the construction would begin on September 2 and be finished in time for the park's 2004 season.
