From staff reports

HURON - The Erie Regional Planning Commission OK'd preliminary plans Thursday for the Coyote Falls resort during the panel's regular meeting at BGSU Firelands.

The plans show the roads that will serve the 48-acre site planned as Erie County's fourth indoor waterpark. The site is located on the west side of U.S. 250, north of Kalahari and south of New Life Church.

Construction of the roads on the site could begin this summer, said David Saneholtz of Poggemeyer Design Group in Bowling Green, which submitted plans for the site. He said he did not have a timetable yet for construction of the resort itself, which is being built by Dial Family Resorts of Omaha, Neb.

Also Thursday, the planning commission approved a preliminary plan for Phase II and Phase III of Bone Creek Business Park, located next to Ohio 4 just south of the Delphi plant. No construction plans have been announced for the site.

The planning commission also approved the final plan for the second phase of the upscale Angels Path housing development near Perkins Avenue and Galloway Road. The plan calls for 12 additional housing lots on about 7.6 acres.
