Cedar Point to purchase Harbour Marina in Sandusky

SANDUSKY, Ohio, Aug. 6, 2003 - Cedar Point amusement park/resort has announced that it has signed an agreement to purchase the Harbour Marina in Sandusky from the Hoty Marine Group.

The acquisition is expected to close by the end of August. The Hoty Marine Group will continue to operate the facility until the transfer of ownership. Additional information about the agreement is not available at this time.

Located on the eastern end of Sandusky Bay, the Harbour Marina is a full-service marina with 280 slips. Each slip is equipped with full utilities and dock box. The complex also has rest room, shower and laundry facilities and a heated swimming pool with a sundeck. The Harbour Marina, located at 10 Harbour Parkway in Sandusky, first opened in 1985.

"This will be an excellent addition to our marina facilities," said Daniel Keller, vice president and general manager of Cedar Point. "We welcome the opportunity to provide Cedar Point service and amenities to another beautiful location on Sandusky Bay."

As a Cedar Point marina, dockholders will receive many of the same benefits that Cedar Point Marina dockholders receive. Some of these include free pump-outs and discounts on fuel, Cedar Point and Soak City tickets, clothing and marine supplies at the Cedar Point Marina Store and dining at the Cedar Point Marina's waterfront restaurants. In 2004, dockholders will also receive two Cedar Point Combo passes.
