The blue tarp is gone.

Cedar Point has uncovered the ride parts being stored in a fenced-in area on the west side of the Cedar Point Causeway between Breakers Express and Quality Inn.

VIDEO: View exclusive video on Funcoast.com of newly uncovered roller coaster track sections that until recently were hidden from public view with blue tarps.

Last Wednesday afternoon (May 10) Funcoast.com shot exclusive video of the pieces -- which appear to be sections of track for a steel coaster -- as they were unloaded from a truck. After the parts were unloaded, they were quickly covered with the tarp.

Cedar Point spokesman Bryan Edwards said the tarp was removed because there is no longer any mystery about what's underneath.

"Thanks to the pictures and video that are out there in print and on the Internet, there's really no reason to conceal it anymore," he said.

Since the videos and photos have been posted online, many coaster enthusiasts have been taking a close look at the parts trying to determine the type of coaster and the manufacturer.

Edwards would provide no additional details about what the parts or the ride.

"We're using that area for parts that we'll use later in the year, and that's all I can tell you," he said.

Cedar Point isn't above teasing the public, however. At the Project 2007 construction site, formerly occupied by Whitewater Landing, a sign has been erected asking, "Ya'll up for some serious sidewindin'?"
