Cedar Point employees receive scholarships

SANDUSKY

Sanduskians Kelly Claar and Justine Bunn, and Huron native, Maureen McNulty, are local winners of a $2,000 scholarship from the Robert L. Munger Scholarship Fund at Cedar Point.

Claar, a business administration major at Xavier University in Cincinnati, is a supervisor in the human resources department at Cedar Point. This is her second year working at the park.

Bunn, a psychology and linguistics major at Ohio University, works as a supervisor in the food services division. This is her fifth summer at the park.

McNulty attends Ohio State University and works in the human resources department at Cedar Point. This is McNulty's third summer at Cedar Point.

Seven Cedar Point employees received educational scholarships totaling $14,000.

The Robert L. Munger Scholarship is based on academic and personal achievement along with community contributions and involvement.

Munger was executive chairman of the board and a member of Cedar Point's board of directors for more than 25 years. He died in 1987.
