Wind + cold + rain and ride closures

We were hoping to drive down to CP on Saturday the 1st to enjoy the park before it closes and the weather is looking just plain awful.

I know nobody has a crystal ball but generally speaking, will a lot of the rides be closed due to the wind? They are forecasting a 30ish MPH wind off the lake and temps in the low 40s with rain.

Sunday is looking a lot better. Is there a way to do that instead so it takes the worry out of things?

If you want to enjoy the haunts, tomorrow is your last chance.

None at all. The last day is customer appreciation day. Halloweekends ends Saturday. No shows, no zones, no haunted houses on Sunday.

It's pretty miserable out here right now. Rain blowing sideways. Nothing open, not even the outside haunts. All the indoor stuff is open. We ended up going to Castatway Bay tonight and enjoyed the waterpark. Smart move by us.

Yes, tonight is horrible! Walking from the Windseeker gate to Hotel Breakers, will get you blasted with sand and freezing rain.

Wow, just checked out the webcams and the place is dead! Not surprising for 39 and rainy, according to weather.com!

Just got back. Tonight was miserable. I'm pretty sure there were more employees than guests which would usually be a good thing but with almost everything being closed and the freezing cold rain it was pretty bad. But I'm glad I got my last trip in.

I just took a walk around lighthouse point and sandcastle and the wind is howling out here. Its going to be a challenge to open most of the rides today until this wind dies down. The waves rolling in are very impressive though.

On the webcams, the park looks DEAD today. It's like a weekday in May crowd, maybe even less than that. All I see running is Maxair and Wicked Twister.

Today's views on web cams don't look very promising, as far as the rides. I'd imagine the shows and indoor haunts to be full lines/ waits later, if the park begins to fill up.

Keep passing the fun along!

Most rides are closed. The ones that are open-minded Blue Streak, Corkscrew have pretty good sized lines. It is very cold and windy. When you walk from Breakers to the Windseeker entrance, there is just piles and piles of sand that has blown up from the beach.

Friday October 31st was dead. Very few rides running, about the only ones I saw were Max Air, Wicked Twister, Scrambler, and Maverick. All indoor haunted houses and attractions were operating with NO lines. Outdoor scare zones were unmanned and no Skeleton Crew performances.

Wow--the park looks pretty dead on the webcams today. Not many people and not many rides running, it seems! I'll be interested to hear reports from people who were there today / yesterday.

Light crowds most of the day but picked up quite a bit this evening. MF, Raptor, GK, Dragster and Magnum still closed. Most everything else back up and running. Chilly tonight but a good night to be here.
