Hey Guys,

We called the park this morning and talked to the guest services. They told us we could use our fast lane and entrance passes a different day this week. Big kudos to their customer service. It clearly says on the fast lane plus passes that you can't exchange, no rain check, etc. but they were allowing it for today's date due to this weather. We were so relieved. We decided to run over to Pittsburgh and check out their sights today instead.

Great to hear that, Tontobacon. :)

Hope you enjoy your trip, and I hope you end up with picture-perfect weather whatever day you and your family arrive at Cedar Point.

Glad it worked out.

Nothing like a trip to Pittsburgh for better weather, I always say!

Tonight a few more rides opened including Maverick. We rode it a total of 10 times. For 8 of them they didn't make us get off since no one was in line. Not a bad way to end the day.

I remember a few (many?) years back there was a "first Monday" that was like today. I met a small group of friends there, it was our tradition to go every year on that day, but it was cold, rainy, and really windy. Over by Disaster Transport (one of the few rides that was operating) it was so windy we could barely stand up. It was like winter.
When the rain finally subsided there were a few rides that operated in the strong wind. We were able to ride Blue Streak, Cedar Downs, Corkscrew, Mine Ride, Himalaya, Matterhorn, and oddly enough, Power Tower. It wasnt much fun though, and nobody was into it, not even me.
My friends went home (early), I stayed in the Bon Air, and the next day was much prettier and warmer, like nothing ever happened. I was by myself, but I had the park to myself, too.
