Soak City - Closing Early?

I'm not at the park, but Cedar Point just tweeted-

"Soak City will be closing at 4pm today. You're welcome to enjoy Castaway Bay w/ your S/C ticket today."

Any information?

It's probably due to the cool weather.

I would actually not be too disappointed if that happened. Castaway bay will be open a lot later and is a pretty good indoor waterpark.

It's only 63 degrees in Sandusky right now, so I would say it's likely due to weather. I doubt that many people even showed up today. Did they even bother to open SC yesterday and Sunday?

The whole peninsula was "Soak City" on Sunday.

Yes, most likely the cold... especially after 4 PM for a water park with a day in the 60's! Looks like temps will be improving as the week goes (tomorrow actually) which will be better for SC.

Soak City was not open yesterday. It was still a bit chilly and windy today.

I think I saw a post that Wildwater Kingdom didn't even open today due to weather.

We were at Soak City on Friday and the midges were insane, huge clouds at the top of the slides and we only went to the top once because they were so bad. I felt bad for the life guards! Hopefully they died off by now :(

WWK in Aurora was closed all day on 5/31 and 6/1.

I just feel the park has had a rough start this year between the rides and weather...I was there last Sunday..... Nasty.!!!! Now the topic on Soak City. Hopefully weather will straighten out. I'm gonna try going again this Sunday fingers crossed!

In terms of your last sentence, I'm going to assume you mean the midges and not the lifeguards? :)

Sometimes we drive in on Cedar Point Road just to look at the houses. I remember last year around this time, some of the houses were just covered in those bugs.

oh my, excuse my grammar! Yes I hope the midges/may flies die off so that the life guards can do their jobs and I can enjoy the water park with out a Charlie Brown Pig Pen swarm of bugs around me!
