Rougarou ranking!

^^ Funny you day that, as Rougarou only has 200 PPH more than MF, so there will be very small differences.

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

By your implication, MF has long lines because it has low RPH at interval. It has long lines because it is popular.

If two rides have the same capacity, and one has an hour line, the other five minutes, the former is only more popular by the 55 minutes worth of capacity after the park classes.

"Popularity" is a subjective term. The number of rides given in a year is one way to measure popularity. However, the capacity of the ride is going to be the biggest factor in how many rides are given. Another measure is how long are people willing to wait in line for a given ride. As it is, people are willing to wait longer in line for Millennium Force than Rougaru. By that measure, Millennium Force is more popular.

Or MF is more popular because it's more enjoyable as it is intense through the whole course.
Rougaroo is yet another giant inversion after the lift hill drop with a somewhat tangled mess after that.

It's not bad, it's just not extraordinary.

Only 200? That's a 12.5% increase. That's huge. Over the course of a typical 12-hour day, that's 2400 more people who get to experience Rougarou.

Think about it this way: Say 32 people enter the MF line and 32 more enter the Rougarou line at 10AM. Every time a Rougarou train is dispatched, 32 more people enter each line. By closing time at 10PM, Rougarou has no line. Millennium Force has to stay open an extra hour and a half because the line has gotten so long over the course of the day. When MF finally shuts down for the night, they will have given the same number of rides: 21600.

I can tell you right now that 21600 has never been an ending number for either MF or Rougarou.

The amount of incorrect information and assumptions in this thread is astounding. Almost more astounding than any average ridership being 21k+.

2012: Gemini/Mean Streak
2013: Co-Team Leader of Gemini/Maverick on Halloweekends Fridays
2014: Ride Supervisor of Thunder Canyon/Skyride/GateKeeper on Halloweekends Fridays
2015: Ride Supervisor of Rougarou

Please re-read my post. I said neither of those things. It was a thought experiment based on the publish capacities of each ride.

1800 people per hour * 12 hours = 21,600 people
1600 people per hour * 13.5 hours = 21,600 people

The only ride yesterday that I walked right on: Rougarou

Raptor was a dead walk-on around 4:00-on, Gatekeeper was at the first landing on the steps most of the night once the wind calmed down and other rides/haunts opened.

So, the 3 B&M's had the shortest lines. Again it probably has more to do with capacity than popularity.

Anyone know what Rougarou isnt listed on the rollercoasters tab of the website anymore? Probably just a unintentional error... just thought I'd point it out.

I think they meant to remove Shoot the Rapids and clicked the wrong button.

Or they're bringing back Mantis

I think Rougarou is pretty good, though not great. It's MUCH more comfortable than Mantis (you gotta lean your head forward to prevent the batting back and forth). My personal favorite spot is the back row with the restraint one click loose, that way when you are yanked down a couple of hills you come right out of your seat. Since the line is so short, I often ride it twice in a row very early in the day.

I like it a lot more than Mantis, but it's not the best. I would even call it mediocre. There's nothing exciting about it. The only thing they changed is the track colors and cars. They could have easily built a different compact coaster in the same spot but instead decided to go with the same layout.

It's only "easy" when it's someone else's money. :-)

A year later, we have Valravn. With the addition of Valravn, does this change your ranking of Rougarou? I love Valravn, but I love Rougarou slightly more because of the length. I know people are going to think I'm crazy that I keep bringing up Rougarou, but it's better than my past right? A year later, I still enjoy riding this ride on every visit. My favorite part of this ride has to be the Inclined loop that goes over the lagoon.

I really like Rougarou a lot! I definitely find it to be perfect in length, and it's a very great ride to watch.

I love Rougarou, I've always liked Mantis and a good layout remains a good layout no matter what trains are run on it.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
