A question for all of you ride ops...

I think any seasonal first year position at CP is considered working at the bottom. Food service employees usually get paid slightly more than the rest though, maybe they are a little higher up the ladder?

ummm, no. The reason for the higher pay is they dont work as many hours as ride ops. It all equals out in the end.

I hope to be a ride op next year too....i just don't want to be the one on the microphone

I'm not sure about other rides, but at my coaster, if you don't spiel you don't drive. (You don't do any controls, even if you pass your visuals)

Spieling isnt at all bad, once you get it memorized, you will say it without even thinking. You can throw your own little things here and there, as long as you get the main safety parts across. It can be fun. Plus if you get good, you get reconized and awarded.
