Best jobs to apply for?

Hey was just wondering what would be the best jobs to apply for where you work independently a lot or most of the time. I don't mind working in groups or anything like that. I'm very talkative and outgoing so that wouldn't be a problem. Ive worked in retail so im used to working in groups. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is a huge variety of jobs at Cedar Point. It all is basically your personality of what you like to do / not like to do. There are merchandise stores where you are the only person there. (It really sucks when you have to use the restroom, though!). The only prewarning is: merchandise does have hours, but not as many as other departments, such as park ops / park services....

Games you work by your self since you stand in a box for 12 hours and you tend to pace around....

I personally have loved my past three seasons as a ride host. There are some locations where you don't have a large crew.

2010: Millennium Force & Mantis
2011: Raptor
2012: Raptor, Sky Ride and Wicked Twister
2013: Co-Team Leader of Sky Ride
2014: Supervisor of Slingshot/Skyscraper

I loved working as a registration clerk at Hotel Breakers this past season. Most everything you do is independent. As long as you don't mind the occasional angry guest. You will get at least 40 hours every week, most of the time more than that. Towards the end of the season, if you are available in late August, your hours will skyrocket.

2012- Front Desk at Hotel Breakers

From my opinion I would do something indoors. Unless you like the heat, and believe me when I say Sandusky heat aint no joke. And you get like 4 shades darker working outside. I still haven't recovered from my tan. Outside you HAVE to stay hydrated you might faint. I did twice. -_- Also with Go Karts you get bomb hours but the sun is killer especially when running after stalled karts and incompetent riders. Go Karts you have to run so if you're not big on running might not be good to apply there. But then again its Park Ops, you get major hours but be ready to stay until 11pm & 12pm on Saturdays when school get out. Good Luck!

They will ask in your interview if you like to work in groups or alone. Honestly at Cedar Point it's better to work in groups because most of the single locations are really slow. I was at Mantis photo for part of the summer and it sucked because it was slow and I alone.

Enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point, America's rock'n roller coast, Ride On!

I have a few questions. I haved worked at Cedar Point about 2 seasons. If I wasn't working at Cedar Point than I'll be in school for the majority of the time. I've never really worked anywhere else besides Cedar Point. My question: Under "Employment History" am I allowed to put Cedar Point for two of the selections since it's the only job I've had over the years? Also, can I put my previous manager or supervisor down as a reference?

Yes, you can put Cedar Point / manager / supervisor as your past work experience and references.

Also, being a theater usher / escort (live e) would be a choice. For every show, there's only a few escorts. When I worked at Planet Snoopy for Live E, we only had a crew of 4 (3, plus 1 for escort's day off).

Foods services best hours

Umm, I'm a little bias I think, but RIDE OPS... This was many many years ago, back when TTD was brand new LOL, Unless you aren't a people person, don't ever say you aren't, but yeah... I'd fill in for sweeps and food services and Parking a few times and I hated it, but it was all about the customer interaction for me... It's there for all the jobs, just a little bit better in rides in my opinion...

Arcades is the best job in the park!!

I really had a blast working with my crew in Merch the past couple years. And depending on what area of the park you're in, you have the opportunity to get a decent amount of hours. The stores in the front of the park typically open earlier and close later than the rest of the park. Also, the stores in the hotels are usually single-person locations and open a few hours before the park opens and about 2 hours after the park closes.
