"Cedar Point is building for the future!"

My guess is...it's the world's tallest and fastest $3 pop machine, with enough capacity to last all season without being restocked. Oh, wait, they already have 67 of those $3 machines that don't need to be restocked...

Ohio, so many coasters...
...so little summertime!

I am not trying to start a bunch of new speculation or anything, but the fact of the matter is that Cedar Point IS building a new S&S ride that will reach heights of over 400 feet. I know that you all think that there is no way that upper management would let such things get out, but details of the ride are being talked openly about all over the park by both seasonal AND full-time employees. The construction of footers that are over 30 feet deep (in some areas) laced with steel (to a degree that we have never been seen before) is not helping anyone over there conceal their "little" secret. This all must be coming from the lemon chill guy right? Actually thanks to two loose-lipped, full-time, maintenance men, and a member of upper-managment (won't say who) you all now have this information. Also, Trokia and Chaos will be gone or relocated for the project. Believe it or not, it is your choice, I really do not care. You would be stupid to accept anything less (the idea of a 600-seat "franchise" restaurant is laughable--I can still see the face of on park op sup. when I asked about the ride, who replied, avoiding all eye-contact, with the idea of a full-scale eatery).

Peace Out.

Betcha $10 that if he were to read that, he'd have the same face :)

Now before EVERYONE gets their panties in an uproar of excitement...let's wait for an official word later this summer. We've had to many rumors and speculation throughout the years, and I think we need to wait for the official word before we continue...

I have to agree with Jeff that this is all pointless speculation....

But it can be fun to hear the wild tales like Robert 15's.

Fairwell Dan!

It would be hard for me to believe that CP has committed to building a 400 foot version of a ride that has not proven to be reliable, at least in the States. Doesn anyone know how the versions overseas is doing?
I don't know about you guys but i would love to see a 400 foot coaster. Cedar Point would then have the first coasters ever to top 200, 300, and 400 feet which would be awsome.
I heard that it's going to be the worlds tallest four dollar penny smashing machine.

Where is the Flow Be Gone!

Now being the squished penny enthusiats/collector that I am, this is right up my alley! :) Oh the joy and rapture of sending a penny on a trip through a machine, the likes of which have never been seen by mortal men. I can already hear the gears turning and the tinkling of my token dropping into the slot below. I can hardly wait. :)

Pearl Jam + Cedar Point=Heaven on earth.

I think it's a new high striker.... Or a guess the weight stand for really really really fat people... Where you can win undersized spandex....:)

I hate speculation......

Those supports that we saw in the picture of the S&S "ride" have to be going somewhere.

Someday's it's just not worth chewing through the restrains.

Welcome to New York City

I wouldn't be so quick to judge. People said the exact same thing when they first saw the Xcelerator parts sitting in the lot... And now that its all together and themed, well not only are the colors absolutely amazing, but I'd say its one of the most photogenic coasters out there! You just have to remember, the people picking the colors want the coaster and the park as a whole to look great just as much, and probably more, than you do... So you need to trust them, and you may be pleasantly surprised in the end.

I'd Rather Be Riding Roller Coasters

Everybody here talks about the S&S coaster that was spotted at the plant, but could someone please post a web site to this "mystery coaster?" I'm pretty new here, and can't find a link to it, but I am very interested in what Cedar Point may be building for next season.
Here is the photo I posted which I believe everyone is refering to...

I say it's gonna be a 400 ft Jeff Putz statue.

Hey, I'm from Florida.

I don't want it to be over 400 feet. I have high blood pressure and push myself to ride the MF... I just can't help riding. I probably shouldn't but coaster riding is unlike anything else in the world...and if I see a 400 foot coaster...I'll want to ride it. But I probably shouldn't becuase of my medical condition!!! ::errrr:: Stop with the height already... CP... yer um...... well.....uh....... I'll just shut up now. ::ahem::

A 400 ft Putz, that would be quite a site.
