clean up

i have heard several people comment on how we should bring old clothes for clean up.. i was just wondering what cleanup entailed when u are a ride operator.. like is it underneath the ride itself collecting loose change and stuff, or is it in the queu lines.... or is it somehting entirely different?? thanks. i'm just getting excited to start working, can u tell?? lol
To the best of my knowledge.. the times you need the old clothes is if you were doing all the clean up that goes on before the opening day of CedarPoint. At times during the operating season you will be sweeping your ride area, but you will be doing that in your ride uniform.

You'll prollabbly be cleaning the ride(s) you are assigned to. Such as wiping down ride units, railings, and the rest of the area around the ride. You may also need to clean the midways such as trash cans and sweeping up.

Clean up is actually going on from now until preview weekend (May 6 and 7). More clean up could be possible between that weekend and opening day (May 13). My roommate was telling me about a wonderful job of cleaning the gum in the Raptor queues last Friday.... :) Mostly, the weeks before preview and opening day will be used for training. Last year during training week, we trained during the day and did odd cleaning jobs after dinner (hope this helps a little!).

just a thought--sweatshirts, gloves and possibly an old winter coat would not be out of the question around the lake this time of year...with the snow yesterday, many found themselves a bit chillier than they had expected to be during "summer employment"
