dragster theming

since they have the whole off-season to fine tune the ride, will they put those juicy fat racing slicks back on...they sure looked perty.
It would be nice if the ride's theme was the same as in early 2003, but I doubt it. :( At this point they could put the rear spoilers and tires on if they find a way to secure them properly.

Check around before starting a new topic please.:)

Unfortunately, They will not be putting the tires back on the ride. They were an aerodynamic issue, and not to mention that they "caused problems" that warranted their removal.

However, I would like to see them re-attach the spoiler to the back end of the train, seeing as they have the fins on the front of the train, I believe having the rear fin would finish off the set.

topthrilldragsterfan, when was your last trip to the park? Because, by the end of the season, even the fin through the nose cone was gone.

Which of the 4 TL's will be listed in the SOP manual?
My last trip to the park, unfortunately, was the weekend before closing weekend.

Ok, yeah the tires were a safety issue, but why in the hell can't they put the spoilers back on?

There has to be some sort of safety concern with the spoilers as well or they would have them on...Anyone know why?

Do tell us what your position is at the park, oh wise one.

Obviously there was some sort of "problem" caused by the tires if the park decided not to reattach them to the trains. Anyone could have posted the same exact thing that topthrilldragsterfan did.

I just wish people would either (a) stop talking as if they know what the actual details were behind the removal of the themeing or (b) back up their statements with a source for their information.

Wouldn't that make for a fairly dull forum? Just look around on this site, and I'm sure you'll find something regarding the events leading up to the removal of the theming elements in question.
.. but they promised not to reveal that the Lemon Chill Guy is still working at the park in disguise.. ;)

Is he still in cahoots with the Dippin' Dots Guy, or are they the same person...I was never really clear on that.

If they can make the worlds tallest, fastest and probibly most advanced rocket coaster evermade, you would think they could figure some way of modifying the themeing to make it safer? Am I right?

Please seriously drop it does the theming really matter. Are you gonna enjoy the ride less, I think NOT.

The ride will never change but think 5 years from now. You will be looking at the ride and see the back car. It will come to you that how cool the theming looked back there. Life will go on with it being back there but the ride would look better though.

Does the theming really matter? When you spend that much on the theming, then yes I think that it does matter to the park. I also know that safety matters to the park and with out being able to secure the theming to there liking that is a reason why it will not return. Will I enjoy the ride any less? No, but my pictures do not look as cool either. :)
