Fondest CP 2007 memory...

-Maverick ERT was so amazing. It was my first experience with other enthusiasts, oh yeah, four rides in about 45 minutes isn't bad either.

-The very first ride on Maverick, surprised by how amazing it is.

-Taking my niece and nephew for their first trip ever to Cedar Point and watching my niece on her first roller coasters. This may be my favorite because I got to share my love of coasters with her . She's already excited about going back next summer and riding even bigger rides. She's upset she can't ride Raptor yet. That's my girl....

Full out sprinting from the Magnum entrance to Maverick. I got the 1st "full car" of the day. I don't understand why they launched one with only 2 people in it before us (And the 2 people were in the middle?). I don't think I've ever sprinted that fast before. I had to walk slowly to Millennium Force after that because I was winded. haha. but it was worth it. :)

Running to Millennium Force on opening day.

Even with the park being packed on the only day I went (oct. 20) I had a great time cause my little 2 and 1/2 year old girl had so much fun and her being happy made the trip that much better! We must of went on the mary-go-round 10 times and after every ride she said "Lets do that again" Thats why i do hope CP upgrades the kid part of the park cause i would want her to be more happy then me!

P.S. Do not ever stay at Quality Inn & Suites Rainwater Park I will post a topic tomorow about this

^ Nothing like riding roller coasters with your mom!

Hey! I'm a mom!

Also, another important memory is Mr Scott getting the first ride, front seat on Maverick. Very sad of course, but a nice way to remember a very nice guy.

For me it would have to be getting a chance to work on Maverick for a couple weeks. Never thought I would get the chance to do so.

Other memories would be becoming good friends with a couple coworkers. Another would be one of the few to actually witness Maverick testing with its heartline roll.

^Oh that reminds me of the sadest time for 07, the removement of the heartline roll...

^ Yes, this was the most disappointing part of the year, I can still remember being shocked when I checked the website that day. Oh well, the ride is amazing without it.

Removement? Never heard that one but I get the idea. ;)

It was pretty great to see Maverick run with the heartline roll. It sure did look intense.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I have two memories. The first one was when me and my friend were taking pictures and a random worker comes up to us and joins in. My friend in the picture had the funnest face of like "Who is this guy?"

Second memory is when we waited an hour and 15 min for Maverick. Then someone undid their selt adding on 10 more mins of redoing the train coming down the hill. As we waited, we saw lighting in the backround, and we were freaking out cause we might not be able to go on. But, they let the people in front of us go and then us...and we were the last train to go. The feeling of being the last people on plus the feeling of the ride was crazy. I loved it!

There sure are a bit of fond Dragster memories this year.:)
And mine would have to be a combination of my first Dragster ERT, my 200th on Dragster, & being there to witness Dragsters 1,000,000th.
But I'd have to say my fondest would be meeting all my new Cedar Point friends (you guys know who you are) and sharing all the fun we had throughout the season. I'll try not to cry when we're all walking through the gates on sunday night.;)

P.S.- Marc, I tried to meet ya at Universal, but I guess you werent in Mummy's station around 5 when I went to Halloween Horror Nights on October 6th. In any case, it was great meeting you again this season.

My best memory would have to be my 5 year old getting to ride Iron Dragon for the first time Labor Day weekend. All summer long we waited for her to be 46" so she could ride Iron Dragon. She absolutely loved it and can't wait to ride Raptor with mommy. She is a future junkie, for sure.

14 trips to the park this summer. Best was Boobuzz ERT on Maverick. 10 times in a hour - tough to beat. Too bad no more for this year. The next 6 months will drag on slowly!

Marc, HHN was simply amazing. It was my first time to it and I've decided to go every year from now on. The only bad thing that I would have to say is that I wasnt aware of the ticket deal with the park as one ticket and HHN being a separate ticket. I ended up paying both Universal AND HHN....somewhere around $110+.:P
Never the less, it was worth it as those haunted houses were the best I think haunted houses can get....and they'd be WAY better if they let groups in instead of a steady line (though I can understand why they dont do that). I"m glad they brought Jack back for this year as I just so happened to "idolize" him. Not to mention I'm dressing up as him (latex mask and everything) for halloween.:)

Its not really my fondest memory haha, but I would say working at the gate all day in the rain. There were a couple days in the middle of August, where the park had an average of probably 1,000 people all day. By far the two least busiest days all season. I remember walking through the park in the afternoon, and only saw a few people. It was the 19th and 20th to be exact, but Im sure none of you were there those days, unless you were working!

After going to CP for 31 years, finally got seasons passes. They were well used and we have purchased 2008 seasons passes. Highlights - my first ride on TTD, Maverick and Magnum (no comments please). MF has to wait for next year.

Regarding food - cheese on a stick, Panda express.

Most fondest CP memory - my kids faces as we drive up the causeway, no matter how many times we go, that causeway drive and view is something special, even to me after all these years and also a fond memory is the kids at the end of the night running to get to their last ride.

One more fond memory, for the pocketbook - buying 2008 seasons passes with Canadian money at par with US. We paid about 20% more for 2007 passes due to the US$/CDN$ exchange rate. When we bought our 2008 passes money was at par, right now CDN$ is worth about 2-3% more than US$.

To my Canadian friends, get those passes soon, this thing with the money has not happened for a long time and I don't think it will last!
