FOR SALE: Big Dipper, Raging Wolf Bobs & Villian

Hmm no price on Villian, but $50,000 for Big Dipper and $2 million for Raging Wolf Bobs! I wonder if Villian is a high bidder deal. I wonder what will happen if they don't sell them, like Demon Drop. MI Adv could use a couple more rides. :)

Based on what the park has said already, I would feel safe in saying that if they don't sell, they'll get scrapped or parted out. If they wanted to move any of these, they wouldn't be for sale.

One ride is good enough for MiAdv. Don't need it to become Geauga Lake West.

Hey now John! I wouldn't mind getting the dipper for MiAdv. Although I'm happy for the park getting Thunderhawk, I'm not exactly counting down the days until I go back to Muskegon to ride it. I would much prefer the Big Dipper.

Michigan's Adventure does have three wooden coasters already and it's already getting a coaster that a park of its size rarely gets, unless management is a little out of it :cough: Six Flags :cough:.

I guess this is good news... better for sale to be an option than for them just to be torn down, right? Now whether they WILL sell or not, that's another story.

Is it me, or does that page look like it was done by a 6th grader? LOL. I'd expect an industry page to be a little bit sleeker.

Raptorqueen, that price on RCDB was the original build price, I think. I didn't see the list price for sale of those. (I was going to say, Dipper for $50k... I wish I had a house to mortgage cause I'd totally buy it! LOL!)

Don't forget. After you buy the ride, you have to disassemble it, transport it to a new location and reassemble it. So, you'd be paying a lot more than $50k when it's all said and done.

Also keep in mind that Mr Hyde's Nasty Fall was for sale at one time. We all know what happened to that.

Even if it were $50K, you'd still have to get it out of there and have a place to put it.

Oh, I know it wouldn't be $50k and running in my back yard... but I have a whole lot more chance at getting a $50k coaster than, say, a $21mil one. LOL. Of course moot point without the house to mortgage... ;)

The $50K and the $2 Million are just the original prices from 1925/1988 listed on RCDB.

I doubt that this website is even from the actual sales company that is purportedly trying to sell these old rides. I don't think professionals would reference RCDB for details about rides they're attempting to sell. I think the email address is a dead link too.

Where did these prices come from? I don't see them on their site. Am I missing something or did someone contact them for the price?

^ RCDB. And they are the original build prices, not the selling prices.

While I am disappointed that CF did not keep the coasters at GL, specifically Big Dipper but I think that just goes to prove they plan on shutting down everything in the next few years, I am glad they aren't just scrapping them as of yet.

This site has a lot of information. It does mention Big Dipper, Raging Wolf Bobs, and Villain but only as them having done coaster retracking on them.

On a side note, they are currently installing Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland

The RWB and Villian trains are sitting at Kings Island for use there.
