Future Coasters from Cedar Point....

The day an idea like that works on Point Buzz is the day Cedar Point names a coaster after me. Good luck getting people to follow that guideline.....

Eleazar.... not to be rude or anything.... but these threads kind of have a mind of their own. One person will say something and the rest will comment on that and then next and the next and the next and (you get the picture) You titled it Future Coasters and that's what we are discussing...

and P.S. a flier is inverted.... Try to be a little more specific!

Tim

I hope they clone Tatsu!!!!1!!!1!111!!!!

I for one would like to see a invert at the diaster transport location and maybe have it cross over to raptor somehow... Hmm food for thought... Be back later have to go work for a living now...

Do we see a common "thread" here? Every one of all of our ideas involve DT and it's eventual demise!

Tim

Yah but DT is a fun ride but yet it lacks that mouth watering factor... Making your mouth water even if you just think about a coaster is what gets me...

Me too.... I like just looking at a coaster's superstructure and just thinking 'i wonder what the designer has in store for me'

Tim

I want to see a Tilt Coaster BADLY I would also love to see a new water ride or upgrades done to Thunder canyon that would include interactive water canyons, maybe some different water effects and most importantly chemically treated water that doesnt make you smell like fish all day.

Do you know how much it would cost to treat all the water used on Thunder Canyon? Especially since it is drained and refilled each day? There is no way that there will be anything but lake water used on that ride.

Goodbye MrScott

John

do you think it's possible for CP to ever put in another giga out and back... not like MF though, like a souped-up Magnum?

Tim

Anything is possible. Especially at CP.

Have any of you guys actually ridden any of the coasters you are suggesting CP build similar rides of?

"That coaster with the volcano" and "that coaster at Dollywood" just don't make you sound like you're making a very informed statement.

I didn't remember the coaster's named, I only remembered the concept with the fly-through in the station: names don't stick with me when I meet people, either, but I still remember traits about them. No, I haven't ridden Thunderhead, but I do have a good enough imagination that seeing a train blast through the station and right overhead a few feet would be a lot of fun.

Raptor Crew 05' (Early season) + Corkscrew + Demon Drop

With all the speculation regarding 2007's new coaster what do you think would be the best way for them to go about doing this... I think that the one post I read was on the right track to build 2 coasters back there... I think they need to build 1 now and then start the second one in 2009 and revitilize frontier town like it has never been before...

Who (in the know) ever said 2007 was going to see a new coaster at CP?

Come on! Think about it: About every 2-3 years they intro a new coaster. The last BIG ride was TTD in 2003. Plus Kinzel wants to go out with something big, as he's retiring after the 2007 season.

1994: Raptor

'97: Mantis (aka Manhater)

2000: Millie

2002: Twister

2003: Dragster

2007: ??????

If you knew that, you'd know that Cedar Point has said a countless number of times that they don't have a specific time schedule for adding roller coasters.

2007: Millennium Force, 2008: Millennium Force ATL, 2009: Top Thrill Dragster

And the thought that Dick Kinzel "wants to go out with something big" is just silly. Give me a break.

They may not have a sechedual, but they do have a quazi-cycle. Once one of their coasters has been beaten, they feel the urge to upgrade!

So after 2007's coaster gets put in what do you think is next do you think that it is going to be a non-intamin... I sure hope so as it seems that bigger people can not fit. I am hoping that if project 2007 is not the length breaking coaster that I hope it to be that Project 2009 is the one that is a length breaker .....

I really like the idea of an inverted launching indoor coaster to replace DT.
Really sweet if they made it a new record of most inversions and in the dark. that would be crazy.
I'd like to see it kind of like Flight of Fear. I love that ride but it's really outdated. (IMO)

The only problem would be they would have to build into the parking lot and a new building for it's all in the dark would cost a lot of money.

PS
Regarding HopMans list of new rides. It took me a few takes to figure what "Millie" is. Untill I looked at the date 2000 then I got it. *** Edited 6/18/2006 11:55:48 PM UTC by DrunkinMonkey***
