Future expansions

That parking by Demon Drop would be the only place I would expand into. However they would have to get up all of the concrete and make it look good like the rest of the park. Full landscaping and a nice midway that would make the Wicked Twister Midway longer with a nice lake view. They could add tons of flat rides or this could be a place where they relocate rides that had to be moved because it was in the path of a future coaster. That should be the only way that they ever build in the parking lot. However if they just poured footers on the lot and made a Six Flags move I would think much less of them. It wouldn't make me hate them I would just wonder how they could be influenced by Six Flags. Just my 2 cents.

New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!

Steve, I follow that logic. But, I will say that you have to take safety into consideration. Imagine if Magnum were built into the parking lot instead of out along the tip of the Peninsula. People are trying to park cars while watching the big rollercoaster.

Let's just say I wouldn't want to be out there directing traffic.

As it is employees are allowed to park in the main lot if they buy a parking pass.

They get a parking pass for free.

Actually, If you look at this ariel image of the Sandusky side of the causeway, they are creating land as we speak. http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/5189/sandusky5as.jpg Im not saying this is for cedar point's use (which it is most likely not) but if its beign done here right now whats to say that you cant do more for a parking lot. That area in the image also would be a great place to have such a thing if thats what they wanted to do. Not saying they will anytime soon but you have to realize that the possibility is there, and it is very realistic and doable, so dont just dismiss it.

Mechanical Engineer: Dont mess with us, we design your coasters.

Two words...parking garage. Put one in, and a ton of land will open up. I honestly feel that WWL could become more of a trend in removing rides for CP. I don't want CP to keep building on top of attractions.

Yeah, I've always been a fan of the parking garage idea. Sure would be nice to have your car sit in the shade all day while at the Point!

Brandon

They could do like Mt. Plympus park did and buld the coaster in a tunel, then have it pop up inside the lot! Now THAt would be SICK!!!!

Steve,

The picture you have there is of the sewage treatment plant and that "land" you think you see being created is actually the buffer/barrier system to keep the bay/lake from becoming polluted if there was ever a leak/explosion at the plant and the **** hit the fan, so to speak.

Building into the Bay/Lake would take a massive amount of red tape cutting and I don't see that happening.

Chief, nice expression to use when referring to a sewage treatment plant having an explosion. That gave me a good smile this morning.

There are days where employees (or at least the seasonals) are not allowed to park on-site. Those are called Saturday's in July and August. The park does fill their lots during the summer, so its not like there is a glut of parking that can be trimmed back.

I like the parking ramp idea, just don't know how feasible it is. It would be nice though.

Your-moms-not-too-fat-to-ride-me, I've seen plenty of people going in and out of the shops on the Frontier Trail and in Frontier town. Try looking around next time you are in the park instead of blindly running to whichever ride you're going to next.

Goodbye MrScott

John

I agree on the shops in Frontier town, alot people like to just stroll thru there, just to hear the sounds of the park.

I do think that if a parking deck was ever to go in, and its not that far off. I see them first building one for employees near the back of the parking lot.

Ride-on

I love how in almost everyone's suggestions they take away from the employees to add more.

1. The only area we are allowed to park in is that small little area next to Demon Drop. Having all of us park off point and then having all of us ride in on Blue Thunder or walk from an additional mile is going to make for even less happy employees.

2. Getting rid of Cedars/Gold. Sure they're really crappy, but Commons is packed to the core as it is, and getting rid of either of these slams the already packed Commons area with more people. = once again unhappy employees.

I love CP as much as anyone else, but taking away from the Employees to cater to more rides isn't the best idea, think about the people that serve you all day a little more please.

There not gonna just tear Cedars down and not build a new one. Use your head, they'd put another dorm up of point somewhere.

I agree with the Dummy. What does that say about me?

Have you ever tried getting out of a parking garage at a sporting event when it lets out?

Its not fun, it would be gridlock traffic at the end of the night.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Road rage is what it's called and there would be a lot of it. A parking garage would also be an unsightly eyesore. Unless they painted it up with coasters and CP related things then it would be cool, but then again I'm pleased easily.:)

New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!

Fastball, once again increasing the employee traffic coming into the point from off-point. Just doesn't make sense.
