Gatekeeper Test runs

Let me get this straight. Even thought the info about gatekeeper was released early they are able to hide the webcams easily. Not sure how that works :)

I think there was a meltdown at cedar point :)

The internet would not blow it out of proportions if it were to valley. Just look at Maverick. They had to completely replace an element of the ride and it turned out to be no big deal. I don't see the need to take down the webcams.

That was most likely because the general public didn't find it a big deal since non-enthusiast didn't feel like the ride was broken, which in a way it was. However if there was a shot of Gatekeeper valleying the public could think the new coaster is broken and just appears to have more wrong with it than Maverick did. Even though Maverick's situation was much more severe than if Gatekeeper were to valley.

Top 5 Coasters #1 Millennium Force #2 Intimidator (Carowinds) #3 Top Thrill Dragster #4 The Beast #5 X2

Coasters I want to ride: #1 El Toro #2 Leviathan #3 The Voyager #4 I305 #5 Behemoth

does anybody remember when I305 tested for the first time? they shut the cams down, and if you haven't noticed Kings Dominion doesent do things much differently!

proof is at 2:40

Also under the category "Online fun" on Cedar Point's website, the "Webcams" option is not even there, so lets ask the rhetorical question, are the cams really "down" or are they hiding testing/pull through?

Well, Even with the direct links to the Cams, they went down on April 2nd about 8:30 at night.

The park does, and they know better than you do.

If you've never run a billion-dollar public company, you're in absolutely no position to determine what the park should or should not do.

Magnum Force?

The park has every right to turn off the cams without explaining why. They dont want us to see if they have an incident like they did on Millennium Force where the green train ended up in the bay.

Everyone keeps saying "if it valleys". I don't see a problem with this. Honestly, I would pay extra to have it valley. It would be like wicked twister.

Just remember that the park puts up those webcams for a very small percentage of their clientele; they don't exactly make money off of those webcams. Therefore, they don't owe us anything considering they already have done more than they have to!

They don't need to justify removing the webcams. Just because you may think they didn't have to doesn't mean the park shouldn't have removed them.

Did Millennium Force actually have a train that went into the bay?

Yeah, the green train. The mistake was testing it on St Patrick's day. The train was too wobbly (presumably green beer) and fell into the bay.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I never heard that before, haha that doesn't sound possible

Tell that to the train at the bed of the bay

The lift was originally supposed to be much much faster.

One little accident and the whole thing had to be reconfigured to slow it down to a safe speed.

Thats why I305 is so much faster up the lift. No lake to worry about.

Maybe they can bury one underground (new tunnel for I305) :-)

Why can't I find any news of this? I am going to say that its a hoax, and I don't think they are worried about things going wrong, perhaps they are just moving cams around, or having network issues at the moment.
