Hey Screamsters! Question for you!

So, every year I am at Halloweekends, I exploit my family member's fears of the Screamsters by secretly telling them the names of my family.

The screamster will then run around chanting the name of the family member, scaring them even more...

How often do people do this? Is this common? Do you guys enjoy that added weapon in your arsenal of fear? :-)

it is a pretty common thing. in scare school we actually teach to pay attention and listen for names in conversation or on the back of hoodies. Honestly I've got plenty of weapons without or without someone's name haha.

Do you guys have special training for the 'knee-sliders' ? Those guys are my favorite!

There's "some" training for them. :)But even after the training. Nothing prepares them for their first real night of sliding. Right Josh? :)

you tell me rob, You're how old now? you've got what... two? three good years left in you? hehe.

and yes there is special training and practices during the summer for us and you have to be hand picked to be a slider.

Giving the name is helpful, but as Josh said, there's plenty of other tools in the bag. :)

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

When a boyfriend tells me his girlfriends name I yell a different girls name at her and tell her that is what he said your name was.

Nice. I might have to borrow that from you this year. :)

So, if I tell a Screamster my wife's name and they call her something else, I will know it's you. :-)

It's really cool when you know a guest but they don't know it's you, or if you see their name on their shirt, or you hear it in conversation and you freak them out like that. Unfortunately, the name dropping by guests' friends is becoming more common. I'd say most guests know we got their name from their own friends and it doesn't freak them out as much.

But, I do like Dammie16's idea and might use it a couple times!

I like dammie's idea too. I'll need to spread that down to KI this year!

I love it when people give me their friends' names, but it's even better when they unconciously say it in conversation, and then I pick up on that. It never fails to surprise them. Heeheehee...

A couple years ago my step-mom decided she was unable to walk around the park during halloweekends and had to have a wheelchair and made my dad push her around. She didn't do it the next day after we handed her wheelchair off to a screamster...

What are the sliders you speak of? Thanks!;)

the sliders are the people who slide on the ground in the fright zone/ screamworks. there are only a handful of us and as mentioned above are hand picked and have to go through extra training.
