July 19 Update

This picture, from Goliath...towards the left side, how does that turn work? The track is very twisted and I can't tell from the pic which side is which, and how the train runs through it...can someone explain that?

just curious

Since there are so many 2007 threads i'm not even sure which one to post in, but I walked around the staging area this morning and noticed there is 2-rail track now. One or two pieces have a very weird "thing" underneath the track before it connects to the support. I don't even know how to describe it but I couldn't figure anything out by it. You'll understand when you see pictures.

Disclaimer: Just wanted to tell you not to yell at me in case I missed this already being brought up in another thread! ;)

I just sent walt some more pics from this afternoon, they are still pouring ALOT of footers. In fact they had 4 Concrete trucks on site today. They were working alot on the ones "Underground". it appears these will be under water IMO.

I also made a nice discovery. I found and took a picture of a banked turn. Now once the track gets on there it appears that it will bank into some trees that are on the outside of the current area. Although, it might immediatly (SP?) turn back again, it would be a pretty sharp turn to do so. I did not think that it was leaving the current area, but now that I seen this I have changed my mind.

mk522, that hill is pretty much just like an s-shaped airtime hill.

I think this coaster will be very similar to Goliath as seen above.

After seeing the pics of Goliath, and comparing, I agreed to DragonFire.

I guess they could claim a record there.....Park with the most non-looping steel coasters. ;)

I am pretty sure they already have that record ;)

fat chris or anyone that knows,

What exactly is "2-rail track"? And how is it different from the track we've seen so far?

All the Track has two Rails...

It's basically the most "basic" track that there is.
You can see it at the breakrun of Millennium Force and TTD.

I've said it more than once... the closer to Goliath this ride is.. the better it's gonna be.

After seeing Goliath, I almost 100% certian that this is what CP is building. At least I HOPE so, cause that looks like a lot of fun, especially if it has a lift hill and no launch system.

And then we could just demolish both Magnum and Millennium Force because This new ride will just be a better version of them.

That breaks down Intamin track. One is standard box track, like in the P2007 staging area. Two is traingular, like parts of MF. Three is the two rail. It is used in areas such as in the stations and TTD's unload. Four is a pictures I took, it shows the connection between box and triangular track.

But keep in mind that Intamin uses all 3 types of track for everything. They even have built entire rides out of just the flat "2-rail" stuff, so don't start assuming that it's going to be one thing or another based on track type. :)

Assuming what type of ride it will be based on the number of rails of the track... who would ever do that...? ;)
