Thanks everyone for keeping me the site so up to date about Project 2007 and CP for that matter. I only get a chance to make it up to Cedar Point about 1-2 times per year and it's nice to be reminded of how nice the park is.

Good job with the pictures.

So did anyone go to the park today and take pics? Any further vertical construction?

^I was going to be sarcastic, but since you're not a newbie you most likely didn't notice.

Was your point just that there is a thread about how some say the pieces supposidly tell you what kind of ride it's going to be? Or am I missing something on that page?

No hidden meaning, just that what he posted is being discussed in another thread. Sorry for the confusion.

I went to the park yesterday (thur. 7/20). I took 12 more pics and sent them to walt last night. There is more vertical. They put some supports up that are not banked turns, and they are a little taller.

I am going back again today, I will get some more pics. I was not going to go today but it is my last day off so I am going to take advantage of it while my wife is at work.

I for one can't wait to see them, thanks.

And then we could just demolish both Magnum and Millennium Force because This new ride will just be a better version of them.

Not exactly, the new coaster could be smaller then both the 2 and still be fun. Like for example if it's 160 feet with so many inversions, it could be different from both Magnum and Millennium Force.

you can take a ride on Goliath here...

I just don't see how this new roller coaster could be similar to Goliath...

There is a considerable amount of straight track throughout that ride and and i haven't seen anything similar to that sort in the P07 staging area.

Not saying it isn't a possibility, but from the track we see in the staging area as of right now i'd say it isn't going to be like Goliath

There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force

Now that I saw the video of Goliath, it doesn't look like much. But the idea is nice- going over water in a helix and the airtime hills. It's not tall, though. I'm so spoiled to the coasters at CP, that any other roller coaster just isn't going to impress me too much like the Millennium Force, Magnum, Wicked Twister, etc..

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

Wow Mikeybo, those are some pretty clear pics you took with your phone! FYI, it's a Nokia 6101. :) I am going to the park on Sunday and plan to take my digicam with me as well to see if there's anything new.
