Its called taking care of your future... Because Cedar Point took the time to accomadate and ammend a bad situation it causes me to want to go back to the park even more

What about all the people who were inconvenienced by allowing you to skip ahead of them in line, not to mention giving you ample time to get strapped in? You've got a very self-centered view of this whole issue.

1> The people in line were already waiting because the line had stopped due to a breakdown....

2> I spent the money to get into the park I have every right to ride just as much as the little skinny guy next to me does...

3> I am sorry if people think I am self-centered on this issue but wouldnt you be ?? If there is someone on here that was here that day then I do apologize but what is 5 min when you have already been waiting for an hour.... Who cares i had to wait that long before too... It would not bother me to see someone skip ahead honestly it wouldnt because I have been there before and done it before it is only 5 min... Big deal....

Again, you act like it's just you. If they give you an unreasonable amount of time, they have to give it to everyone who needs it. If even only a handful of people a day got as much time as they needed, it could quickly add up to an hour or more of lost ride time.

Yeah, it is a big deal.

I spent the money to get into the park I have every right to ride just as much as the little skinny guy next to me does

Only if you meet the manufactures requirements. In this case, you did not.

And he has just as much of a privilege (see also: not RIGHT) to ride as you do. He also paid to get into the park. Once again, your logic is skewed.

No one every guaranteed you a ride on any of Cedar Point's rides, not even when you paid your $40.

Arguing with Elazar721 is like fighting with a pig in the mud. The more you do it the more you realize he enjoys it.

No offense bud, but all of your posts have spawned into some sort of an argument.

Elezear, its understandable that you're upset, having traveled 3 hours only to get turned away. However, you shouldn't be this upset about it. You should have gone into the situation knowing the reality - which is that you may not be able to ride. Regardless of the test seat discrepency, you have to understand that many people get turned away every day, and if every one of them demanded extra time, it would be a disaster.

We all want you to be able to ride, as we want everyone to have the opportunity. However, its not fair to inconvenience other guests who have absolutely nothing to do with the situation. Make a comment to management - that's probably a good thing, as its important for them to get real, honest feedback, whether its good or bad. But, leave it at that.

And, 5 minutes can feel like an eternity - ESPECIALLY after waiting 90 just to get into the station.

Brandon

I would imagine 5 minutes trying to get the belt buckled was probably an eternity as well. I've had seat belt issues before, and even if it's only 15 seconds that it takes you to get the belt buckled and the slack pulled, that 15 seconds takes forever when there are probably a hundred eyes burning into you wondering what the hell is taking so long. I've never had to take the walk of shame, but certainly I would have given up in less than 5 minutes. I'm of the mindset that if I don't fit, well then I don't fit, and I'll quietly get up and walk off, with no one to blame but myself for that. I understand that some people have issues with weight and it is not easy to lose weight, but I'm certainly not going to hold up the line for 5 minutes trying to get a belt buckled.

Elazar, I understand that you think you have the right to ride, but so does everyone else in that line. It's not fair that you essentially make hundreds of people wait five minutes longer in line, after they'd been there probably for quite some time. You also mentioned that the people were already waiting because of a breakdown. Those people probably were thinking "Oh great, now I have to wait EVEN LONGER." Think of other people besides yourself.

^ aggreed with everything jeff said, might as well not repeat a couple paragraphs :).

My dad has had many problems getting into the seats, it gets annoying as you walk into MF line and ops tell you like 40 feet away from the gate "sir, are you sure you can ride this ride" while he's done it a billion times, great to point out everything thinks your fat :P.

But he doesn't hold up the line if he doesn't fit, MF crews usualy let you try one more time, but if it doesnt fit in a min. or less get out and try again. I agree after waiting 90min your patience is lost and 5min is an eternity.

I don't think someone could have a more selfish view on this. If I can't get it shortly after the time the op shows up to check my belt, I give up. It hasn't happened yet, but if it did I'd just give up and try again on another seat, or just claim defeat.

So nexttime I go would it be unreasonable to ask the ride ops to stand off to the side and try the next train ??

And for the most part I do think of others.

Read what happend first time I could not get it buckled. Left the ride completly came back and waited again throught the line. Now if that is thinking of myself please let me know.

And yes having everyones eyes burn into you is not the most pleasent experince ever.

So anyways how did you guys like the trip report should I have added more details taken rides off of the ride listing....

Oh by the TTD awesome experince but will never ride it again...

Wait time vs ride time makes this ride pointless unless it is only a 15 min wait...
