Nevertheless, Bigmal's given me a good idea. I'll make it my goal of every HW to get "scared" into dousing the Screamster at fault with my tasty beverage.

;)

Good luck with that. Hopefully you make a fast getaway.

If he is scaring beer holders with the intent of getting them to spill their beer, that is douchebaggery of a very high level, and the resulting spilled beer is absolutely his fault.

So if a guest goes into one of the zones with the intent of getting startled/scared and then dumping their beer onto the screamster that startled/scared him/her does that mean the guest has performed an act of douchebaggery of a very high level as well?

I would say yes. But mainly because it's all about intent on something like this as well.

If a guest were to happen to spill beer on a screamster on accident because they were scared then no, no douchbaggery involved. However if the guest goes into it with the intent of beer spillage on the screamster then yes HUGE douchebaggery involved. Just like the intent of making someone spill a beer on purpose is a huge deal.

Actually, it is a reasonable assumption that someone going into a Fright Zone wants to be scared. In fact, one could argue that getting so scared/startled (for dj :)) that they spill their beverage is the point.

Conversely, a Screamster does not work in a Fright Zone wanting to be doused with a beverage.

Hence "douchebaggery" is only involved on one party.

Can we change the title of this thread, or move it to its own?

To: "The Douchebaggery of Scaring / Startling Guests Carrying Beverages?"

I can totally understand the debate, but this thread cracks me up, especially considering it branched off "Luminosity Testing?"

Well said Hawkeye.

So... Luminosity? TTD and Gilbert seemed to think highly of it. Looking forward to more reviews rolling in.

I would never assume that someone wants to spill an $8 beer that they just purchased. EVER. That's a silly assumption to make. Why would anyone ever want to just throw away money like that? Do you?

If you are ok with buying an $8 beer you are ok with throwing money away.

If I buy an $8 beer because I want a beer and there are non other available then thats not throwing money away. That's me deciding that the benefits of having said beer is greater than the $8 in my pocket. Not that I want to waste said beer.

Casinos are a multi-billion dollar industry.

Going to a casino is not just throwing your money away. You're still exchanging money for entertainment. The fun and possibility of winning money with your friends. But that's a whole different argument.

Enough with the Screamster attention whoring. Anything not about Luminosity going forward will be deleted. Take that crap off line.

For those that do see Luminosity, especially if it is early in it's season, don't judge it too harshly. With every live show as the performances go on the show becomes much smoother and better. So if you see the show within the next few weeks, know that later in the season you will see that it has improved. The show does look amazing and it really is something completely different that you would never expect and visually you can watch the show a few times and still notice new things.

The show seem great from what I've heard and seen, and being a Screamster (don't worry this is staying on topic) I really hope something awesome can be done with the space during Halloweekends use the full extent of lights and pryo set up for the overload ceremony, add some fog and a new theatrical speech it could be epic!

As am I. With any luck, I wont run into you:-)

@Zeek: Couldn't agree more. Looking forward to seeing how this looks in a month or so. I also have to agree about noticing new things. The way it is set up, it is physically impossible to see everything that is happening at one time. Can't wait to see the show again.

I thought the dancers did a great job on Saturday for only being a soft opening.

Any chance you'll get video?

And on a related note, does anyone know if they allow for press members (or whoever) who are recording video to jack directly into the audio feed?
