I can't believe you guys are really sitting and watching those webcams and hanging on everything that happens.

Considering I only make a few trips to Cedar Point every year because I live just over 3 hours away then yes I am kind of hanging on everything that happens. After last night I was a little bummed that one of my trips to the Point would be sans Millie. However now I'm even more pumped because I have seen it up and running again.

Just because it stops on the lift hill a couple times early in the season doesn't mean it's going down for weeks at a time. You would be surprised how many times a ride stops on the hill because the operators stopped it on purpose (loose article or seat belt issue), or because the previous train had not cleared the blocks yet. More often than not, it's not even remotely a big deal.

^
Please don't talk to me like I'm stupid. I know that rides get stopped on the lift hill a lot. However considering that the ride was evacuated and the train was stuck up there for the whole night and was just moved forward this morning gave me a little pause as to if the ride was going to be down for my trip up there or not.

I thought it was weird that they were only loading the first 4 seats on dragster all day.

And it still kept rolling back.

They were down to two rows and still couldn't clear! I love the Red Train what great luck it has! First triple rollback of 2009! They were in Manual all day yesterday it wasn't fun! But triple rollbacks was worth the 5 hr wait in the rain! They were loading three rows then took my row out (3rd row) in order not to rollback! So I got back in line and waited while my train rolled back another 2 times (I could have got a triple double) Then it was reset to manual and after 20 more minutes on the platform I finally finished my ride on the green train. What a day!

MF was acting funny all day. During morning ERT our train slowed at about that spot and the antirollbacks started clicking. We never fully stopped but it was weird none the less. You heard the antirollbacks most of the morning.

Yeah, seriously. They might of well just called it "Rollback: The Ride" yesterday. I walked over to Dragster after the gates went down and waited in line for it, because I was just hoping that I would be lucky enough to get the first few trains they sent out that would usually rollback. I was like the 8th or 9th person in line, and I waited four hours for my ride. That was partly due to a few rollbacks, the weather, vip people entering in the exit ramp (at least they cleared the hill the first time), freaking breaking down WHILE we were out on the launch, and the weirdness of them operating in manual mode pretty much all day.

But it was worth the four hour wait. Yeah gold train, a bunch of high fives went out to everyone on our train, haha.

Later on me and a friend decided to wait in line for it about a half an hour before the park closed, because now they were only loading two rows of cars (they had three in the morning when I rode), and pretty much every train was getting at least one rollback. Waiting in line was pretty cool, talking to these drunken pair of people, two random people, and some people that also waited in line with us earlier for Dragster. At about 11 pm they shut down Dragster for good because of the frequent rollbacks, but they took down our names and zip codes and are planning on giving us passes for front row rides for TTD our next visit (how they plan on mailing them with just our area codes and names i'm not sure, lol). What I thought was going to be a crappy opening day turned out to be a great one.

^ Our red train was better.

I thought it was funny when the line would cheer when a train would clear the hill! I think we were the most hated train, every rollback we got stink eyes and evil looks!

How does manual mode work? Is it because of the rollbacks that they had to use it?

I waited four hours, half in rain, only to not get a ride on Dragster yesterday. That ride was NOT ready! :(

^No the ride was, however on cold, rainy, windy days TTD simply cant run. The launch is not powerful enough to shoot you over the top, not to mention the computer goes crazy. Its sadly to be expected.

Queue long rant about how that ride was the biggest waste of money CP ever built...

^Yesterday a lot of people thought it was the biggest waste because it was down, but then when it opened everyone loved it and loved CP for having it!

They kept telling us it was down mechanical, though. The rollbacks, maybe you could call them wind.

Basically they weren't ready or didn't want to keep blaming the weather.

Guests throwing up, weather and actual mechanical delays are all announced as mechanical delays.

You have to love the people that come up to the entrance worker and ask: When is this going to open up? Why is it down? Do you know if Magnum is operating?

Nick from Dragster made the 4 hr wait a lot of fun and was awsome!

Well, they said weather and mechanical each plenty of times. I know the ride can't run in inclement weather, but why did they send one train in steady (albeit semi light) rain?

^I was wondering the same thing? They were sent in a constant rain, I was wondering if they were already loaded and were sitting out on the launch track when the rain started coming down more! I seen a train of 4 sitting on the launch track for about ten minutes before heading back into the station to unload!

I was on TTD ready to go when it shut down :( There is the list at the station and you go to the exit and tell them your name and you get loaded in the first train avaiable in the first seat. I used mine today and got a rollback :)

So the two Intamin coasters had some problems on opening weekend, how did the two B&M coasters run?

Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"

Well at least 1 of the new Intamins did not have any problems. Im sure you know what the B&Ms did.
