I don't get airtime that often because they always push the bar so far down on me, but I know many people get airtime quite often.

Getting lifted out of your seat is not a requirement of airtime. It is simpley experiencing negative g's. If by chance your lap bar is loose, the result of negative g's would be you getting lifted out of your seat.

I think that maybe because the ride is so fast and over so quick that your mind doesn't really have the time to process the negative -g "feeling".

I don't know...I never got the "butterfly" feeling though.

To be honest i can never remember because im to excited to even pay attention to little things like that.

I remember one incident where I had that "butterfly" feeling. The last time I had actually felt that way was when I first rode Millennium in June 2000. (anyway)It was my 25th ride on Dragster and I didn’t expect to get that feeling. But once the train reached the top, it literally crawled over the apex. I thought we were going to rollback......sadly we didn't. :( But it gave me a few seconds to take a better look at what it's like to be 420feet in the air. That’s when the butterflies started to fly (wow that sounds corny^_^)

God I love Dragster!!!:)

Overall I never got any air on it, but I remember on its opening day I got a ton of air going over the hill. I have video from its opening day and it was just flying over the top.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

Pointbuzz has a video from Media Day where TTD only had four cars. The ride continued to go rather fast over the top until the whole contaminated oil thing in June '03. After that, the 9th row of seats were added and the ride crawled over the top ever since.

My first ride on TTD (May 23, 2003) had lots of airtime over the top.

Mine on the 29th had allot too. That was before seats 17 and 18 were added to the trains. And I must say they looked ugly with out the last 2 seats (and the spoilers :().

I thought they put the extra cars on the trains during that first week? If I remember correctly, Media Day was a Friday, a buyout Saturday, Sunday was opening day, and then they were closed until Friday.

No, Media Day was that Thursday, then friday they were closed and Saturday was opening day.

MF was a buyout on Saturday, the AAA day on Sunday, Media Day the Thursday after and the official opening day the next Saturday. *** Edited 4/19/2006 2:42:17 AM UTC by Frank Sinatra***

Ben is right, 2002 and 2003 both opened on Sunday and closed for the week and opened the next Friday for the season.

ttd 120...that is a damn good phrase

I usually get noticeable air in the back of TTD, but I also do once in a while from the front. Best bet for air is back seat.

Makes sense.....since it's pulled over the top.

Front is definitely the way to fly, even though the wait is sometimes ridiculously long for a front row ride. The launch is incredible but to experience it front row, with no inhibitants...you don't deserve to live if you don't ride front row...yea i said it...lol ;)

That's it. I'm never riding Dragster again.

There's waaaay too much fanaticism going on here.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on this one! haha. But thats coming from me who's only been on Dragster once.

I hardly remember ANYTHING about the ride! But I do remember being at the top and what I did, so I dont see how I dont remember airtime or not, but I honestly cannot remember what it felt like. I do remember the half twist going up though, and what THAT felt like. I had my hands up and it startled me! I wasnt expecting that much force.

Its one of my all-time favorite rides, but I'm gonna have to ride it a couple more times before I can comprehend whats going on while I'm riding! haha
