possible support sighting

PLEASE NOTE: Intamin ships everything from switzerland, they come through the port of new york in heavy corrugated containers which are placed on a truck and driven to Sandusky. They are then are opened and lifted out of the trailer. They are NOT carried by flatbed. Those were 100% not the supports for the ride that you saw.

Haven't we seen enough Intamins at the park to know that by now?

Sorry to point out something here, but Intamin does not ship from Switzerland. Almost all of Intamin roller coasters are made in Cincinnati, OH and then shipped directly from Cincinnati, OH.

*heads down to the docks*

Because seeing supports will tell me exactly what the new coaster will be...

Anyone bets as to what color P:2007's supports will be? I sure hope it's not yellow, lol. I think orange would be fun, or maybe light blue.

My bets are for a color such as this: http://www.rcdb.com/ig720.htm?picture=2
I think a brown and red scheme fits well with the FT feel.

I wanted to say brown, but I just can't picture that color brown with that bright red track. But you are right, that would fit in perfect in Frontiertown.

I believe you are mixing the facts up. B&M track is manufactured at a plant just north of Cincinnati, not Intamin.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I don't think the red is THAT bright, not compared to alot of other coasters out there.

B & M manufacture out of Cincinnati not Intamin.

If you look at the new bridge IPFW installed, the two support poles look exactly like rollercoaster supports. They could be going anywhere really. Unfortunately, I don't think they are part of a rollercoaster but still a good find. I love to see big things going down the road.

Two weeks ago two huge heat treat furnaces went rolling down Coliseum and I started drooling... I could heat treat my rollercoaster frame in one of the babies! Actually, I could probably have treated about 6 at a time in one oven alone!

Missed this one. You're wrong. Or at least, that isn't a sure thing. Millennium Force landed in the port of Montreal, came by train to Detroit then truck the last leg (thus my comment about it coming intermodal). I talked to the customs broker that brought much of it in, starting in December 1998.

Well since the supports in question probaly aren't for CP and we're already talkin about colors, anyone think we'll be seeing a different color track show up anytime soon like TTD or Rita? I personally think those multi colored tracks look cool.

My two cents goes for the brown supports...but with that bright red track we might be seing supports similar to the light greenish blueish color on Xcelerator..

From what I understand, the red & white track on TTD is used in order to heighten the sense of speed. I don't see them using multi-colored track on a coaster with the type of layout that this appears to have.

Brandon

The multicolored track on Rita is simply to help camoflauge it through the treetops. If they didn't have that whole "can't build above the treetops" rule... I'd put money down that Rita would be all one color.

I was driving through Columbus Ohio today and I thought I saw a semi carrying what looked like emotional support.

I want the colors to be Green and White for Michigan State, but I think we will see red and maybe tanish grey, who knows.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the red and white track on TTD is part of the theming, is it not. It isn't to heighten the sense of speed.

I saw the same truck on the Ohio Turnpike on Tuesday. I snapped a quick picture and should have that available soon.

the red and white on the launch are to show the speed. If you think about it thouhg, it does go along well with the theming. Kingda ka does the same thing with the alternating green and blue track on the launch

What about me now??

DRose, the alternating track was said to have a purpose of heightening the sense of speed. Does it.....eh, idk.
