Rehire

Just because you can Does Not, I repeat, Does Not mean you should. Repeatedly calling does absolutely nothing to further your cause for employment.

Demonstrably, you exhibit a lack of patience.

I still see this going the way of Point Guru.

When I finish interviewing a prospective hire I ask if they have any questions. And follow up with , "if you have any questions give us a call." That does not mean bug me every other day asking if you got the job or where your application stands. I'm sure Cedar Point told him to call if he had any questions. He heard, "call us if we don't call you."

Cedar Point only calls you back if they want to hire you. They never tell you you're not hired. That opens up a bigger can of worms. Their answer is usually, "we're still looking at applications," "we haven't made a decision yet," "we'll call you (if we want you)," etc.

Also Human Resources has no idea if you are going to be hired. Only the departments know that. HR takes care of the paper work after you have been hired. They can also answer general questions.

Okay so I worked at cedar point in 2014 at various locations in the park. Due to my tardiness almost everyday, I was fired. I really want to work at cedar point again this year but I don't think I can get rehired. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? Am I allowed to reapply for this season? WHo do I go about talking to in order for me to get back at Cedar Point?

Breaa, the best way to find out if you are blacklisted or not is to return to job net and attempt to submit an application, If you are blacklisted, when you enter your SSN it will say something along the lines of "due to your past employment, you are not eligible for employment."
Tardiness at any job is not tolerated, however, despite being fired, occasionally employees will be listed as "restricted rehire" That does not mean you will not be hired, but it does not mean you will be either. Try to log into job net and go from there. If you are blacklisted, you can call HR with further questions, with discretion of course! Good luck.

That just seems like a lot of work for someone who couldn't be bothered to show up on time for work to begin with.

Even so, I think it would just be a waste of time. They would just say you're not eligible for rehire. Excessive tardiness is a hole you can't dig yourself out of.

Okay! Then why do they tell me to call them if I was bothering them?

Did it occur to you the person answering the phone has more responsibilities than answering the phone?

The more you call, the more they are distracted from performing their job duties. The more they are distracted the less time they have to devote to their job duties. Thus placing them in a situation to not meet their assigned deadlines.
