Ride On

Cedarpoint.com has a new video on the main page. I'm assuming this will be the new commercial..

I had to watch it without audio here at work.. but it still is thrilling and very cool...

Nothing special on the audio, just track sounds and screams on the coaster clips parts, and then a voice at the end that says ride on.

I really like this years slogan...

I think it's my favorite.

I like the look and feel of the ad, but I'm sure they'll talk a little more on the TV ad.

Yeah it was a cool ad, but it kind of feels like it's missing something...

ride on?

right on!

I LOVE it. Critics will say it was simple and noobish, with the rapid changing of clips etc, but I really like the high-energy feel of it. Really captures the essence of what riding a coaster is all about. I also think the shaking words are aawesome, captures the chaotic intense feeling of riding.

I saw the actual commercial today on i think it was NBC, i forget what channel, but it wass the same concept as the one on the website but a little different, but still really neat, one thing i remember that was different was at the end it showed a picture of MF and said RIDE ON instead of CP's logo.

I caught a TV spot today on a cable channel. I missed the first couple of seconds, but it is SHORTER than the version on the web site. Same general idea, something about being inspired by roller coasters, and a teaser that says something about finding out on May 6.

I don't think the spot identified Cedar Point at all, but the coaster silhouettes are instantly identifiable. :)

I love it. I agree with everyone GeeForce says. It really does capture that excitement; the shaking words are a cool effect.

Sweet ad! I can just see t-shirts that Just say "Ride On" with a small CP logo right under them. Be a great sticker, too.

Either way, it's a great ad. Make want to go there, and I'll be WORKING there!

Not gonna lie.

I REALLY like that online commercial. : ) I think it's a neat concept. And it makes sense, considering it's online and we're watching it on a computer...and it's telling us to get out and experience the real thing. : ) I like it! And I will be there May 7!

The online commercial is great. I love it. I wish I could see the TV ones during the summer too.

RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...

Ride On, Ride On!

I like it! Better than the last few year's ads.

Looks like CP's decision to go with a new ad agency is paying off. :)

Well, I wasn't going to go to Cedar Point this year, but this commercial really won me over ;). Seriously though, I saw this commercial, and at the beginning I was like, is this for a new RCT or something. Then I saw quick glimpses of CP rides, and then the MF ending, and I about passed out. Although, I think maybe a little more CP identification could've made the ad better.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Yes: the new low prices on tickets, food, beverages and souvenirs.

djDaemon's avatar

Nah. The target audience is clearly one who'll be more drawn by the attractions and thrills, as opposed to the food prices and keychains.

I'd bet my bottom dollar that the TV ads will mention the lower prices and other incidental improvements throughout the park, however.
