People still do A/S/L these days?

I asked this question on here because I saw someone else asked a question in a similar ballpark. I thought maybe other people asked similar questions on here. I looked on everything that I could find to get a little closer with no success. This literally has been the closest I have gotten. I just wanted to know if anyone personally knew any lifeguard there that way I could see from them if they would have a clue. I don't expect you to know who they were. I thought maybe a site where people talked about cedar point would be a good spot to possibly find someone who knew a worker. That's all. I'm just trying here. I can't go back to cedar point right now. It's not an option. So I'm just trying to work with what I got.

Here's my advice to you: Ask the person's name when you talk to them? One of the "many" times you passed by and he smiled at you (your words)? Is that really so hard?

I'm not desperate. I was nervous. My thoughts were racing and I forgot. And I was in a rush.

I don't understand why you're so attached to a lifeguard that you don't even know. I mean you said you were a college girl, so I would assume that you have guy friends that you actually know or at least have seen some guy that you actually have a better chance of getting together with since you're there pretty much every day.

You were in such a rush you couldn't ask his name, despite passing him "many" times?

Look, sorry, but someone signing up for an amusement park enthusiast website for the sole reason of trying to track down a lifeguard you declined to take any steps to learn more about despite "many" opportunities....

I do have guy friends. I'm not interested in them. But I trust myself. I'm picky. I'm not the type of girl who constantly has crushes and infatuations. But the few times I do, they turn out to be great guys, (2) and great relationships. So I felt a little something as stupid as it sounds, and I'm going to trust my gut here. Even if I just talk to see if I'm right. I'm interested.

Im normally an extremely realistic person, and I can recognize that this seems a little out there, especially if you don't know me. And I apologize that I offened the enthusiasts on here with my girly shenanigans. I didn't mean to. I'm just trying that's all.

And if it makes anything better, I really do love this amusement park. I have been here almost every year of my life, and it used to be my families only vacation. It's truly my favorite place in the whole world.

I'm glad I could produce some type of entertainment.

Marie8, I'm sorry we can't help you more. As was said, your best bet is to visit the park again and maybe ask other Soak City employees.

My advice would be to move on from these forums unless you'd like more ridicule thrown your way. If not, feel free to stay and get more dating advice from the coaster enthusiast crowd.

I think this is kind of a cute request. I'm not sure all the personal attacks were warranted. Plenty of people are here all the time thinking the site is somehow actually related to the park as something other than a fan site. Could she have asked in a less creepy way? Sure, but I don't think we need all the pitchforks and torches.

Is no one really questioning the fact that she didn't think any one read this site anymore and then created a account and topic to get help from viewers she didn't even think existed?

I completely agree. I don't think it is unreasonable for her to think that someone on here may have some info or a connection that may help her out.

Could she have done something different in the situation, like ask him his name? yes... but she didn't, and there is nothing that can be done about that now.

Could she have gone about this a little different way, like go to craigslist or facebook? yes... but I'm sure she figured that people who frequent the park would have more knowledge than random people on the internet.

I can't speak for everyone, but I am sure most of us in here have seen that guy or girl who caught your attention, you didn't act on it, then you regret it. It's part of growing and learning.

I'm sure she didn't plan on asking an innocent question on a forum and then getting ripped to shreds.

It's completely reasonable...It's just the fact that none of us can really help her and that she gave us very very little to go on that some people see it as ridiculous.
