I was surprised that they got all the facts right

Listen to the FoF part. Somehow they are able to propel a train with LIM's and non-magnetic fins.

I found some of the non-coaster stuff really interesting. Especially the use of LIM's in launching a 5 ton car to 200 mph in only a couple seconds.

OK so two things - first who would love or hate to have the cheif engineers job? I am talking about the guy who free climbs MF every morning to inspect the cable lift???!?!? LOL - I would be freaked out even with protection.

Second - I have never seen SOB before but wow it is a sweet looking coaster. I mean the wooden structure is massive and looks sweet. What is a wooden loop like anyways (for anyone who has been on this coaster?) Did anyone else notice that they said SOB was closed quite a bit too?

SoB doesn't use a wooden loop. It has a steel loop integrated into the rest of the ride. It looks rather Frankenstein-ish, IMO.

The track on the loop is wood though isn't it? I know the spine and supports are steel though.

Yes.

Was that a worldwide broadcast? There was so much CP in the show, it seemed like it was produced just for the CP fanatics! The footage of B&M Manufacturing was AMAZING! I've many times wondered exactly how it was all done. And I had no idea that Magnum was "hand welded on site, every curve of track bent by eye." Amazing.

I agree with everyone here, that show was awesome!! I found that the guy who made his own coaster in his back yard was pretty funny. I wish I had the resources to do that.

And what if intamin or some other company were to use the steam powerd launch like on that aircraft carrier. That would be one heck of a launch!!!

08 - ATL Power Tower
09 - TL of Mine Ride

Not to mention it would work.

I had watched the show last night. It had shown more about CP coasters that any of the other ones. (Probalbly due to how many record breakers there are) Speaking of record breakers, with CF getting King's Island their getting Son of Beast and The Beast which are the fastest and tallest in the world again. More record breakers for them

Great show. Did any of the footage of the different coasters take you right to the potential for Project 2007? The one that struck me was Sheikra. The lift and stop at the top would be awesome overlooking the lake. It also includes a few other elements people are speculating about including a brief trip through water.

Sheikra is incredible.. I live here in Flroida about a half hour away from BG. The whole going through the water thing isnt that great though...its actually kind of pointless cause it slows you down alot and you can feel the drag on the coaster big time but it does provide kind of a cool element with getting that close to the water, kind of a foot chopper effect...its also realy cool for the people standing under it gettting soaked so i guess it does provide womewhat of a purpose...but the holding at the top is nothing less than awesome its a great feeling of anticipation and i would love to see something like this in a coaster at CP. But back to Supercaosters...I thought the show was incredible...def would watch it again..does anyone know when it comes on again? cause I would like to record it

I've been hearing some stuff from the Lemon Chill guy lately, you wanna hear what he told me?

It was on for at least 6 hours last night. 9-11 and then replay 11-1. Then (I couldn't sleep) it was on again from 1-3. I flipped to NGC around 2 and it was still on. Thats quite a bit of repeating.

It's a 3 hour long show? Maybe you caught part of a different show, because I know from 2-3 AM last night they had a different thrill rides show on. It was shot in 2004 and the last 30 minutes or so was all about Power Tower and TTD.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

It was only 2 hours (unless I shut it off early). And it was 2 am. I wasn't completely awake, just couldn't fall asleep (the tv being on didn't help much).

Yes it was 2 hours.

At 2 AM, there was a show on called "Ultimate Thrill Ride." I recorded that on my DVR. I can't wait to watch it tonight!

I have posted a 30 second clip of the computer scene on putfile. Here is the link. I am trying to limit the section that is better down to 25 megs or less. What i have is 7 min. That equals about 210 megs
