Surprise 2014 Attraction?

I hope the Starbucks continues to offer the doughnuts and cinnamon rolls that Donut Time had, I really enjoyed those.

I have to say I'm really getting tired of news reports not referencing Pointbuzz..this site got it first for what I understand..

Even if the user was from CF with knowledge or was an outsider, it originated here..

I have to give credit for my stuff, should be both ways

It sounds like this will be an upcharge in the park and not in Challenge Park?

I think it would be a better fit for Challenge Park.

That is correct Coco.

The thing I'm most excited about the Auntie Anne's in Challenge Park.

Leave the hypercoaster alone

I love that we're getting a Cinnabon, although I wish it was in the park.

Frankly, I suspect the slingshot will make way more money being where it's at than it would in Challenge Park. The foot traffic through Challenge Park isn't nearly what it is along the Gemini Midway. Probably not by a long shot.

I'm excited for the new sports bar, but this article (currently the top Google result for "Chickie and Pete's") is a little concerning:

I think the slingshot ride is a good idea. It doesn't take up much space at all, and it will bring in some extra $$$. I certainly won't be riding it, but it will be fun to watch others ride it!!

Wow Ralph, that is disturbing. Doesn't sound as if it's been a nice place to work.

Well at least they got it fixed. Hopefully it never happens again. I am excited about this place, but i know the prices are gonna be jacked because of its in-park location. I checked the menu out and they have some pretty good looking stuff on there!

I'm assuming Cedar Point will staff and run the restaurant like they do with Famous Dave's and TGIF, so the issues the restaurant had in Philly wouldn't even apply to the CP location.

Is Amy a majority stakeholder in Chickie and Pete's?

I don't totally get why they are adding another Yogurt Plus. I would of liked to see some other little place go in there, I think that area will really resemble the GateKeeper area. I guess the Freestyle machine and the Yogurt Plus were very successful for them.

Heard from a relative that works in the park that in a year or two they are leveling challenge park for a massive soak city expansion and that this ride is the start of integrating the high thrill up charge rides directly in the park that will include skyscraper being moved somewhere inside the park.

That seems like a bad idea to me. I always thought Challenge Park served as sort of an "after hours" thing for resort guests. If anything, I feel they should expand what they offer to include night time entertainment.

Night time entertainment is a must with the resorts upgrades, I can't see that not happening. If there is a massive Soak City expansion I can see how that would encourage longer resorts stays as guests would feel the need to get everything in, more so than Challange Park and a smaller Soak City does now.

A little concerning? That's putting it gently! Good gravy, I used to wait tables and I cannot believe that this even took place. This is really low, greed and theft. I don't know if the staff was that naive or didn't have much choice for work to begin with. This kind of stuff is how unions came about. Thank goodness they're getting the screws put to them. Makes me wonder if Cedar Fair knew about this before they added an additional location within one of their parks. It sure doesn't make me keen on supporting it, even for lobster roll.

Valleyfair has all but dismantled their Challenge Park. I expect Cedar Point to follow that trend as well. A huge waterpark addition would be absolutely amazing.

I agree is nice to have Challenge park for resort guest but with sling shot in the park theres going to be so much more foot traffic. Tons of people will walk past it, more spontaneous rides.
