The Mysterious, possible footers

I was quite intruiged by this area when we saw it on Sunday also. I got a lot of funny looks from people when I stood on a bench and jumped as high as I could to see past the walls. I really can't see this being a rollercoaster. Even if it is some huge thing, they wouldn't have to start work on it now. They didn't do anything with MF until like August or something. But I also can't see it just being an area to sit. why would they have 3 big footers for that? Along with orange spray paint around that area as Dan said. I have a feeling we will know a lot more when the park opens again this weekend. I suppose time will tell.

I am sick of this "time" thing.

Maybe Scotty or Geordie can fix it.

My thoughts:

A. it's a flat ride of some sort

B. it's a way for pedestrians to get to Millennium Island, for future development to take place there.

MOST FARFETCHED: at the end of the 2002 season, Cedar Point will remove the first turn around on Millennium Force, and extend the track to ceated the world's longest coaster complete with LIM's to allow the train to complete the circuit, similar to Disney's California Screamin concept.

But dammit MrScott, it's an amusement park, not a damned starship!

Perhaps they're extending WT.

Whatever it is is not going to be big and/or loud. It cannot disturb the Paddleboats or Camp Snoopy. These are the main keys one has to consider.

I will be there this sunday rain or shine to check it out.

I'm not terribly familiar with the park and the layout of it but as I've read in the previous posts, this area of construction is close to Camp Snoopy right? Well maybe it's a Jr Millennium Force for kids or something? I think that the idea of a Space-Needle-esque restaurant would be the coolest thing though. Think of the photo oportunities! :)

Pearl Jam + Cedar Point=Heaven on earth.

In order to have a resturant like that.... you wouuld need a HUGE tower. I just dont think there is THAT MUCH space there.

A Jr. Coaster is a possible idea.

"They didn't do anything with MF until like August or something." That is regarding MF.

Not true, there was evidence much earlier in the year that could be seen from the train ride. They had some sort of lines/cables attached to the ground as markers. Major construction started later, but they were already working on the layout earlier in the year.

I doubt a big, loud ride would travel that close to Camp Snoopy.

Im as lost about this as everyone else.

lol! Aye, Captain. Ye be right, fer sure.

First Officers Log. Stardate 5082002.

The crew are engaged in endless speculation about a bit of concrete and its location throughout the panet. It's fascinating.

This, of course, is NOT helping me to control the excrutiating anticipation for my upcoming away-mission to the planet scheduled for 10 standard days from today.

It seems as if the Captain has contacted the Planetary Gov't. They have confirmed only that it is a construction site. As we say on our planet: Well, DUH!

I must add a new experiment to my growing list of tasks for the away-mission. Readings of the mysterious possible-footers.

This in addition to multiple Twist Physics. Giga Velocity readings. Hyper weightlessness studies. Big Bug and Predatory Avian territorial habitat mapping. Astrological Twin phalangeal (sp?) contact. There are others. Many others.

Good thing the away-mission is scheduled for 3+ days!

May 18th - 21st! WOO HOO!

Why do a lot of you say that CP will not build a major ride that close to Camp Snoopy??? When has that ever stopped them from developing before? Look at how close MF comes to Camp Snoopy. WT neighbors Kiddie Kingdom. Raptor is situated between two car rides more directed at kids. If a new coaster fits best there, they will put it there.
Wow, who knew three concrete pilings would generate so much attention. Next thing you know, we will be paying $19.95 per month to see video of it on the net.

To say nothing of the quiet, undisturbed, serene and natural setting of the Paddlewheel Excursion...

They also moved the train tracks closer to Perimeter Road. This should have really tipped some people off, but they didn't become very suspicious. That was also 3 years when the recent coaster boom started.

I want to drive the Zamboni!

If Jeff is nice enough, maybe he will build a few footers on his lawn so we can all watch them.

Acutally, the Power Tower web cam could easily be repositiond to look down that midway.

I wouldn't want to be the one to have to do that. Any volunteers want to climb PT and change the camera angle?
