Things flying off...

What things have you guys seen fly off of coasters? I was on the Corkscrew and some guy who was sitting right in front of me had his white hat fly off. If I was taller it would have smacked right into me.

Six Flags better than Cedar Point? I'll believe it when Raging Wolf Bobs flies...

On Saturday as we were having fun at Soak City, I looked over on Magnum's third hill just in time to see a black hat go shooting straight up and then flutter down. I had a good chuckle.
Yesterday someone's shoe flew off while they were on Power Tower Space Shot.

A couple of years ago, I saw somebodies hat fly off their head on Corkscrew. It was hilarious, it just flew straight up into the air on the bunny-hop part of the first drop.

Also, one of my friends on RipCord left his retainer in his mouth, and it flew into one of the kiddie pools at Soak City. It was amazing he actually got it back. Last year at Halloweekends my friend's Eeyore (RIP) keychain committed suicide on Magnum. :)

Two summers ago I was behind a girl on the Magnum that dropped her two-way radio from the peak of the lift hill.

This year my father's glasses came out of his pocket on the Magnum...but we had no clue where they flew out on the ride. Amazingly when we were walking through Soak City we saw a glisten from inside a chain-link fence around Magnum's supports. Sure enough they were his glasses. Five employees JUMPED at the chance to rescue them. They were using pool equipment and all kinds of crazy stuff to fish them out. Anyway, he ended up getting them back.

Rotunda Chillin, thats funny. Glad your dad got his glasses back though.

One time while I was riding Raptor somebodies 2-way radio dropped out of their pocked or something right before the MCBR. I wouldn't of noticed it but I saw a little shiny thing fly down to the ground and hurd a loud thud (obviously it broke).

This year I saw something small and black headed right for me on Millennium's First Drop near the bottom. I had to dodge them, or they would've hit my face. I noticed they were sunglasses as they flew between my head and my friend's head.

In May of this year I got a nice view of some coins from someone's pocket that seemed to hover in the air while on MF. It was out by the island when it happened.

Welcome to...Millennium Force...

I had a brass Zippo lighter come out of my shirt pocket (It was kinda like slow motion--I tried to grab it out of mid air). I don't think it hit anyone behind me. I didn't see anyone holding their head or anything bloody.

This happened at Geauga Lake 3 or 4 years ago and I always make sure to empty my shirt pockets now, BEFORE riding!

"If we go any faster, she'll blow apart for sure!"

My uncle had 2 way cliped onto his belt on magnum, anyways on the bunny hops the clip broke and the 2 way went flying forward. The people infront of us cought it in mid-air.
Just this weekend I was on the Magnum and I caught a necklase from the person in front of me. Talk about some nice air-time!

Anyone ever try the penny trick on Magnum? :)

I caught someones hat that flew off their head on corkscrew. He was in the middle of the train, i was in the back. He thought he lost it, until he saw me approaching him with it. My car keys fell out on Chaos, i saw them hit the ground, just missed the drain cover or whatever that grid is on the ground. I may have been screwed.

Last season on Blue Streak, two rows ahead of me a guy had his hat fly off after the first drop. Luckily, the guy behind him was quick enough to grab it and give it back to him at the end of the ride.

Also, idiot me at Soak City last year went into the wave pool with my glasses on. It was fine for the first couple of waves, but then one big wave hit and they fell off. Luckily, another guy must've stepped on them, because he found them and gave them back.

Hmmmm.......let's see: at Power Tower.....heads up is the way to go. We've had everything from shoes and keys, to cell phones, pagers, mardi gras beads, and change (oh, don't get me started on that!!!) Just a little note to all of our friendly guests, PLEASE DO NOT HOLD CHANGE IN YOUR HANDS ON POWER TOWER!!! There are alot of innocent people that don't deserve to get hit with a flying object from 240 feet in the air! Oh yeah, and a funny side note. If anyone comes to CP soon, check out Corkscrew, there is a yellow had stuck on one of the supports under the bunny hill.....bad luck for that person! :)

On Tuesday someone's Misty Mate broke on Magnum. There was a fountain coming out of the third seat.

Wonder who that was...

When i was riding the force last year, a guy behind me lost his entire wallet near the end of the ride, and as we exited i saw 2 little kids jump the fence and grab it(but of course they just ran like heck and didnt give it back to the guy)

When I was working at Tower we did our best to check hands, but inevitably, offenders did manage to slip past us on occasion. In the worst case a young girl was hit in the head by a falling quarter while waiting in the cattle pens on drop side. There was a lot of blood and it was not a pretty sight. Fortunately, the coin tossers were found out and subsequently tossed from the park.

"Check hands, 7 through 10!" ;)

A few weeks ago, I ran into some people I knew from school in the PT line. I was ahead of them, so I got off and waited. The guy was swinging his feet as the car was bouncing at the end of the ride. His shoe came off durring the transition between up and down, and came up, hit him in the neck, and then fell 25 feet or so to the ground.

Just because you can't justify charging $3 for a Pepsi doesn't mean you can't charge $3 for a Pepsi.

Funny you started this topic, I was hit by a hat on Magnum monday.

"Wheres the Callahan factory?!?!?"

Countless hats, my husband even caught one once on Mean Streak.

The latest was while riding S:ROS at SFA some fool lost a camera. It looked like a nice camera, definately digital, it floated right above my head. He lost it going into the helix and it seemed to hang there forever. Luckily for him someone a couple rows back from me caught it.
