It looks like water may very well be involved. It doesn't look like they will be back filling around those footers.

are those the crates that are supposedly under the tarp? if so, that's definitely NOT lumber. its a crate MADE of wood, yes, but that's definitely got something else inside. :)

That area is no different than this area http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4218

I wouldnt count something going over water as water being involved.

sunfire,

He never said the ride will dive underwater and you'll be in a glass bubble car while doing so. All he said is that "It looks like water MAY VERY WELL be involved."

He never said anything about that he is 100% positive that you'll get wet on this ride, just that water is somehow involved. I agree that water will somehow be involved with this ride also, only a select few people know for sure how it will, but until it's announced we can make the speculations from the photographs taken and first hand looks at the site.

The section he's speaking of definitely looks as though it's being prepared to be filled with water.

If it DID count, a lot of coasters at CP would be considered "water coasters". Mantis, P07, MF, TTD, ID,CCMR etc......just to name a few.

Favorite Coasters 1.MF 2. TTD 3. Raptor 4. Gemini 5. Magnum
Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.

Where exactly does TTD go over water?

Goodbye MrScott

John

The places where Iron Dragon and Mantis were built,it was a give in that the ride would be over the water. They are going out of their way to make sure the ride atleast crosses the water, that is the point I was trying to make, wheather it's just for looks or something else I dont know.It is plain to see where they have built a new pond that the tops of the footers will be above the water level.

If it's anything interesting, when I was at the park yesturday, I noticed the markings located by Undertaker U. and Wave Swinger and took some pics of markings that were close to the walkway behind Undertaker U.

One is a red stake and the other is a red strip of tape tied around a branch above another red stake.

I just thought it was interesting to see markings this close to the walkway.

I hope that once the season is over they start more footer out that way. I would like to see them keep as many trees as they can that would be cool riding low among the trees.

New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!

I hope that every topic will stop turning into a 'is water involved' topic..it gets boring after a while..

If MrScott was on right now I think I know what he might say about that.

If people would just accept that it will be, there wouldn't be a need for every topic to make the inevitable turn.

After looking at this "hole" yesterday, and it's relation to the straight row of footers that is assumed to be a lift/launch, my guess is for a curved drop similar to Raptor maybe, with this pool of water at the bottom of the drop.
